Attended the CVMSDC Business Opportunity Event early August of this year. The event was very well planned with cudos going to both the staff of the CVMSDC and the Convention Center staff as well. Rooms were perfectly set for the various meeting, the luncheon was excellent in both food as well as the serving. The exhibit hall was well lighted... More

We were at the flw in August as 90 fishermen got together for a fish off to see who would take the cup home. In the convention center they had booths and give always for the community. They provided the staff with meals at one room. The food was great. So was the the whole 4 day events.

As a veteran vendor and speaker, I have never been to a convention center where the concession provider refused to open during an event. All 100 vendors and hundreds of attending families were left with no food or drink options within the center during a 3 day event. On top of that, the "event staff" scolded vendors for bringing in... I assisted in the coordination of over 400 people attending a one-day conference here. The staff is not personal enough, never checked on us the entire day. You have sub-contractors for every need which makes coordination difficult. Staff - okay.

My husband and I have attended several annual SC Book Festivals here.. It is a pleasant, modern facility with a good exhibits hall and comfortable rooms for programs, although the acoustics sometimes could be better.

I have attended awards ceremonies, large school gatherings, and even a beer fest. The Convention Center is centrally located and has the ability to handle large unrelated crowds/meetings/events at the same time. Everything that I have seen and experiences has been fantastic.

Too overwhelming for me and not the up close and personal feel. Valet parking was available since i am handicapped. But i was exhausted just getting to the location.

I have been to the Convention Center many times & it is a well run, clean, efficient meeting venue. Both smaller rooms & larger banquet facilities are certainly adequate for Columbia.

Outstanding service, plenty of parking, a fine location and a terrific team to take care of your event. There are large rooms and small rooms. There is an ATM, there is an information center to learn about other places to visit in the city. Very accommodating as far as audiovisual equipment as well. Rotary Club of Five Points meets there...
