We love RIVERBANKS ZOO. we have a membership, it is so wonderful. we live in North Carolina and prefer to visit RIVERBANKS ZOO!! From giraffes (especially Bruce, Kristie, Winston and others), gorillas (with Patrick and new females), to many other animals. Has a great place to have lunch, a great gift shop, zip line. Everyone in my family loves this place so much we began buying memberships three years ago. With alot of activities other than daytime family fun they also host beerfests, winetastings, and concerts. They are doing alot of renovating right now but there is still aolt to see! Can't wait to see all the new exhibits including the kids splash pad!

I went here with my sons 5th grade class. The Gorilla is part actor. He just put on a show for us. The ropes course is a favorite of the kids. We also fed the giraffes which was really neat. We will be back for sure. We plan to ride the zip lines next time.

great zoo to visit, lots of animals and easy to get to if going down for a football game with the family or for a weekend trip to Columbia.

We liked the ease of getting there, lots of trees and green every where, the bamboo was beautiful, with nice things to do and see. Prices were not outrageous but on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend a little crowded. ;) A nice afternoon outing, not so big that you can't finish in a day.

Lots to see. Figure three hours for just the zoo side. This place can be hot, not much of a breeze gets into the place (is it in a valley or something?) Go early, the animals start to get hot and tired by midafternoon. Buy tickets OL, you can save 15% and not have to stand in line to buy... More

We visited the Riverbanks Zoo on a Sunday morning and while it was busy it wasn't overly crowded. The zoo is under construction right now and it looks like they will be adding some really nice exhibits once the construction is finished. The construction work didn't hinder us from having a good time though. Feeding the giraffes was a big... More

My husband and i have been +10 times. The monkeys are by far my favorite, they are very active on their island. We choose not to take the ride to the gardens, pretty good hike.

My husband and i stopped by on a return trip and we're amazed to find out how much there was to see and do at this amazing zoo and gardens. First we walked the wooded paved trail along the peaceful Saluda River(declined the tram) to the interpretive cabin and then upward to the gardens. They were massive and marvelous. We... More
