Great Christmas lights and a good family atmosphere to kick off your holidays! We had a great time and hope to make this a family tradition!

We decided to go to the Riverbanks zoo because everyone that had went had told us how great it was...we were not impressed at all! We have season passes to our local nature center so to most zoos like Knoxville and Ashboro we get in for free, but we paid half price for the Riverbanks zoo compared to the other... More

Riverbanks is a fun zoo to spend a day with the family. My 4 year old loves going. The bird house is really great, and we loved the gorillas. A fun place to go to spend an afternoon!

The zoo is well laid out with spacious and natural looking animal enclosures. The animals were quite easily visible but looked relaxed and in good condition. Food and bathroom facilities were good. The only challenge was that the people mover transportation were a bit too infrequent and we had to stand in the hot sun for about 15 minutes waiting... More

We visit often with our little one, but always find something new to be excited about. From feeding the Giraff's to playing with a penguin. The Zoo can be tackled in one morning or you can make it a full day. The last time we were there they were renovating but it looked like they were almost done.

It was a nice zoo. Polite staff. We came after a heavy morning rain and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Bc is had been raining they didn't have pony ride a going or any feeding the animals. We were bummed about that but no big deal.

I had a membership last year, but haven't renewed it, this is nothing against the zoo. I like this zoo a lot, great variety, the grounds are very clean and they are always updating something. The Botanical Gardens on the other side of the river are nice as well.
