Took a run through campus at dawn. The horseshoe is very impressive. Later in the day took a campus tour. Tour was well done. USC has a proud and impressive history.

Even if you aren't an alumnus, it's worth visiting the lovely Carolina campus...but try to avoid visiting Columbia from June through September, as the weather is hideously hot and humid.

Clowney, Spurrier, Shaw, and all of the Cocks! The horseshoe is a pretty historic campus. It was a great place for our daughter to go to school.

No tour of the University of South Carolina’s main campus in Columbia can be considered complete without a visit to the Horseshoe, the University’s historic core and visual centerpiece. I know this beautiful place quite well, having walked across or otherwise used and enjoyed it thousands of times during the past 40+ years. It’s fun to take out-of-town guests there... More
