Met at the old city jail, not many blocks off the main drag.Still seemed safe to walk after tour was over at night of course. Had a former police officer give the tour, wish I could remember his name. Learned a lot of history of how they treated prisoners back then.I can understand why this place would be haunted.Gallows pole,... More

Was here with a group and decided to try one of their ghost tours because rain kept threatening the baseball games we tried to go to. We did the old jail tour. From the outside the place looks pretty creepy. Our guide was a bit melodramatic for me (and I have been on LOTS of these tours). The stories were... More

Thank you for the feedback. Yes, we do try to tell everyone that this is not like a haunted house experience. We tell ghost stories and mix in some history. No one jumps out to scare people. I'm sorry if you didn't like your tour guide and I'm sorry that the daylight distracted you from enjoying your experience. Who was... More

My husband and I recently went on the jail tour, a 9pm one. I can't remember the gentleman's name who toured us, but he did such a great job of giving the history of the jail and engaging the group. I thought the jail and the history in itself was quite creepy, I'm not one to believe in paranormal activity... More

The jail is spooky. Our guide Sean was excellent he knew all the grueling creepy facts. This is not a haunted house type tour it is a historical tour of the old jail. The history and atmosphere will spook you ...but things will not jump out at you. Listen to everything The guide says and you will leave with chills.... More

My family took the jail house tour with Sean (or Shawn), and we really enjoyed it. I went into the experience expecting to hear about the history of the jail, and not to see ghosts (although that would have been a fun aside), and I wasn't at all disappointed. The tour guide seemed knowledgeable, and his delivery was well-paced and... More

Our guide (Pauleena I think?) was awesome! She gave us a rich history of the jail and shared all the grueling details about jail life back in the day. This jail is CREEPY!! Which is AWESOME! We had activity on our tour. I was touched several times on my leg and a door in one of the rooms opened up... More

We went on the haunted jail tour and it was definitely not haunted! Not even scary. However, it was a great history lesson, and the tour guide was interesting to listen to, but hard to hear due to the building materials. Definitely make reservations for whatever you want to do because they book up quickly. The girls selling the tickets... More

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the Haunted Jail Tour. The tour is actually not like a haunted house. It is ghost story telling with history mixed in. It was featured on Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour guide, but I am sorry that you had a hard time hearing them. Also, yes,... More

Went on the Jailhouse Ghost tour and were disappointed. The tour guide tried her best to scare us into believing the place was haunted but no one bought it. It was difficult to get into it when you know that the place is used as a college during the day. And the tour guide spoke so fast that we didn't... More

Thank you for the feedback. I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the tour. The Old City Jail has been featured on Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures and countless other ghost-related television shows. We have many, many strange and unexplained pictures that come out of the jail that we actually post on our Facebook page. Being scared is very subjective... More

Our guide Barry was fantastic! However other than walking in a cemetery, we could have looked up the stories and walked to those locations quicker than an hour and a half in the humidity. It was very boring, that the three guys behind us in the group took a left at a corner during the tour while we took a... More

Sounds like you enjoyed Barry as a tour guide. He is a great tour guide and gets good reviews. I see that you thought the tour itself was boring. I'm sorry to hear that. Normally Barry gives great tours so I am surprised to hear this complaint. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the tour. Were you expecting... More
