We enjoyed the "Savor the Flaovor" Tour. We visited 3 restaurants, 2 cooking stores, and a great candy store. We learned a lot of Charleston history during this tour as well as some really great food. We had great food at all 3 restaurants, samples at both cooking stores and the candy store. Service at the restaurants was really great... More

Took the jailhouse tour a couple weekends ago when we were in town for a last minute weekend getaway. Another couple we just met had taken the tour the evening prior and highly recommended it. Paulette (I'm pretty sure was her name) was our tour guide and she was excellent! Very informative and had lots of great stories. She even... More

My wife and I went on the culinary walking tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the origins of the food and their influences on Charleston culture. The food was great too!

We took this tour and enjoyed it. It was almost like that show on Comedy Central "Drunk History"! Checked out the older pubs and got a little of the towns seedy history.

The tour guide fit the bill perfectly - enthusiastic, great outfit, engaging of the audience, tolerant of those who knew all the answers already. But the 90 minute tour involved 3 and a half stories, only 1 of which was a ghost-related tale. That one was a 30 minute build up to one photograph. Others were about a church and... More

I'm very happy to hear that you liked the tour guide. I'm sorry to hear though that you only got one ghost story. Who was your tour guide? I would like to know more details of this. We do talk about the history of the city, but we do tie in ghost stories. We also talk about burial practices so... More

What a wonderful afternoon we had visiting various eating establishments in Charleston. The variety was great from grits to crab dip. I am sorry I forget who our guide was but she was a gorgeous, elegant lady who was very knowledgable and engaging. Great introduction to southern cuisine.

Went on the Ghost & graveyard tour while on vacation. Had a great time hearing about the different legends. Lisa made the stories come to life. (maybe a little too much!!!) CREEPY!! She obviously loves her job and is a wonderful people person. She really knows her history. Highly recommend and I'd go on another tour with her any day.

We went on the ghost & graveyard tour and went through the dungeon. I love the way Barry speaks, slow rhythm but with special emphasis on important point. He knows his facts & stories. He's awesome!!! -JB

I was at first skeptical of a 90-minute combined tour in the November rain, but Barry's fast pace and lots of stories mixed with humor and history made it fly by and feel dry. Definitely take this tour!
