We happen to be in Charleston during a week Of "off" weather not conducive to carriage rides or Plantations. So we opted for this tour. We were SO pleasantly surprised. We had a EXCEPTIONaL tour guide named "Dani" who was a chef, culinary Instructor and history buff so we got the best of all worlds! She was a wealth of knowledge... More

David, our guide, helped us learn about the history of Charleston's food revolution while we enjoyed the flavors of the Low County. This is a must for those who want an insider's guide to this city that loves food.

We took the 7:30 tour and while it was not scary we got a totally different perspective of many of the churches and graveyards of the city. It was a very pleasant walking tour. Our guide (unfortunately I cannot remember her name) was very knowledgeable and had great stores to tell of 'ghostly' experiences. I would recommend.

These tours were very exciting and so much fun! I love this kind of thing, but my husband has never been into it. The bulldog tours completely changed his mind. He can't wait to do more now. The Ghost & Graveyard tour was not only exciting, but incredibly informative. We loved hearing about all of the historical figures and occurrences... More

While we didn't have any crazy experiences, there is plenty of evidence from others who have. The old jail is simply amazing. If you want a creepy ambience, this is the place to go. Want the chance to catch a glimpse of a real ghost? This is definitely a place I recommend. Our guide was enthusiastic and well-informed. I would... More

We had friends visiting from PA, and we are transplants, but had never done the tours. We decided to do the walking graveyard tour, as well as the Old Jail tour. Our graveyard guide was extremely knowledgeable and very funny!! Really enjoyed her expertise. We all had gone back to some of the cemeteries/graveyard the next day to see them... More

The Ghost & Graveyard Tour was a lot of fun. Our guide was awesome and very informative. She took us on a tour of back alleys, graveyards, and parks in the city at night. At each location, she told amazing "ghost" stories about real people that had lived in Charleston hundreds of years ago. This is not like a haunted... More

We met at the jail at 8:30. The tour guide was really entertaining and gave an excellent historical tour of the jail's ugly history. It's dark so if you let your imagination run wild you can be "scared" but this isn't a haunted house type thing.

My husband & I visited Savannah a couple of years ago & did a ghost tour in Savannah, so this time with our adult children & 80 yr old mother, we decided to do a haunted tour of the gaol. It was still light at the beginning & end, so that didn't help to make it scary as wasn't really... More

Thank you for the feedback on the Haunted Jail Tour. Just want to be clear that you indeed were in Charleston and not Savannah, as we do not do tours in Savannah. On any note, I am sorry that you did a tour when it was still light and wanted it to be dark. We do offer that tour at... More

As a concierge its always nice to experience tours firsthand in order to recommend which tours someone should take. I have been able to experience three of Bulldog Tours' Ghost Tours. The Ghost & Dungeon Walking Tour and the Ghost & Graveyard Walking Tour start out walking towards the Dungeon or the Graveyard. Along the way you will stop and... More
