After going under new ownership in August of 2010, they’ve stayed true to what always made it great — but added to the fun. The Brick has 13 flat-screen HD TVs for you sports enthusiast, darts, a pool table, cornhole, video games, free Wi-Fi, and fantastic bar food. The menu offers tasty, freshly made, filling food (the kind that goes best with heavy drinking). We have a little bit of everything: burgers, sandwiches, tacos, wings, great appetizers, and more. Most of our food is made in house from scratch, and all of it is cooked to order. So enjoy! There is live music every weekend and team trivia every Monday at 8pm. Make sure you check out our band page and sports page for the latest in live performances and exciting sporting events. (The Brick is also the only 24/7 365 Virginia Tech bar in Charleston!)With a great beer selection, tons of weekly specials, the best live music in Charleston every weekend, and delicious mouthwatering food, it’s easy to see why the Brick is Charleston’s favorite tavern- there’s simply no better time in downtown Charleston! « less

We grabbed a drink in here on our last visit to Charleston because we saw they had some TVs and we wanted to catch a game. It has a nice pub atmosphere with wood paneling, large booths, and a big bar. The bartender and waiter were very nice and attentive. The beer selection was good but they had an outstanding... More

We popped in to The Brick for a snack and a beer. The restaurant was only 1/3 full but the music was great and the deep fried bacon hit the spot. The bartender was very friendly and chatted with us throughout our stay. Makes a big difference when you are tourists in a new town. The Brick is in the... More

We were almost scared off by some of the reviews then realized they were written before a recent management change. Glad we went! It has a comfortable neighborhood feel - and really good food (Try the shrimp tacos). Tell Ryan & Allison that Tom said hi!

Not a bad stop. Had coupons for some drinks so we stopped in. decent atmosphere except our looked like there was some family event going on? Not sure what the story was but either way there was kids (I mean 7, 8, 9 year old kids) in the bar till someone after 10pm, not what I wanted to deal with.... More

My husband was on a quest for the perect bar an driving me crazy. I took one look inside The Brick and with my ex-bartender spidey sense knew we had to go in. The owner was actually there with the off duty staff having a great time. The bartender, who was actually the owners girlfriend, was great. At closing they... More

This was the worst place I have ever spent money. It was such a terrible experience that I created an account here to tell the world. If you like rude bartenders who are offensive go to the Brick. I personally will never go back and see to it that none of my friends, family or employees do either. I hope... More

I was in Charleston for three days, and I think that I was here each of those three days. This is a definite spot for hanging out with friends and meeting new people. It was slow in the beginning part of the week, but by Thursday it was getting crowded (this is a college town). The drink prices were just... More

Brick is the worst bar in Charleston... and that's saying a lot! The bartenders are the most surly bunch of people I have encountered in one of the most alcoholic cities in the country (see US News & World Reports), and make their best effort to kick everyone out as soon as possible, which is before the bar even officially...
