I loved that there was plenty of free parking, the bridge side walk lends itself for walkers, joggers, bikers, etc to easily move along. The views are stunning, you can spot Fort Sumter, the Sullivan's Island light house, the aircraft carrier called the Yorktown. All in all it is a cool experience to walk one of Charleston's main icons whether... More

Love the views from, and of, the bridge. And it is a vast improvement over the old bridge over the Cooper river. Glad there is a walking path, and look forward to many more years of use.

Great bridge to walk, bike or run over. My family has spent tons of time exercising on the Ravenal. It curves over the Charelston port, and sometimes dolphins can be spotted from the top.

It is a great bridge. You can walk it and stuff. The views from the top are fabulous. The bridge itself is very pretty. The old bridges it replaced were truly frightening. It did ice over last winter, and that closed it for a few hours... worth visiting if you happen to be touring Charleston.

I went at sunset, just parked for free at the Circle K station on the Mt. Pleasant side of the bridge and walked up to the first tower. It was a 3/4 mile walk up and 3/4 mile back, took about 20 mins each way including time spent taking pictures. Pretty awesome pictures too, of the city, the USS Yourktown,... More

What an amazing bridge! I could see it from my hotel and locals said I should drive over it. I drove at night and loved it so much I returned the next day! Awesome!

As we drove across the bridge we were amazed at how difficult it must have been to build over the water. Oh what a beautiful design as a back drop to the city!

It is one of the most beautiful bridges to see and travel over. It is like a fabulous weave of fibers.

Finally biked it for the first time today, but have made the traverse on foot numerous times. Great views, amazing architecture, and the protected pedestrian/bike area is a much appreciated and well used amenity. Good parking on the Mt. Pleasant side of the bridge underneath the base. Takes a little hunting to find it, but once you know where it... More
