I really enjoyed taking photos of this beautiful bridge from different locations. Clearly an indicator that you are in Charleston. Many exercise on it in safe areas and it is always fun to cross it in your car.

So I don't know that I could really classify this as something that I specifically visited, but I drove across it several times during my stay in Charleston. It is absolutely beautiful, and is an amazing feat of engineering.

My husband and I have been living here nearly 4 years and had never walked the bridge. After we did I regretted not doing it before. It is a nice walk, not too difficult and the day we went there wasn't much activity. The views are gorgeous, we saw dolphins jumping in the water below, and barges coming and going.... More

I had my heart set on walking over this beautiful bridge (about 2 1/2 miles one way). We got some great views while doing so, and it was cool to see those delicate-looking cables up close and personal. Of course, it's a busy bridge so the traffic was noisy. I was wishing for earplugs during the walk.

This huge seemingly light-weight structure, presents a view of, not only the city of Charleston, but, of the marshes of the low-courntry, small and large vessels swaying in the water, the formidable Yorktown, and the iconic symbol associated with the Civil Ware of the Confederates and the Union--Fort Sumter--all presented in a short trip connecting the city of Charleston to... Find a spot on the waterfront on either end of the Ravenel Bridge and just gaze upon this stunner in the daytime or the evening. If you walk, bike or jog, there is a great path on the bridge itself. On the Charleston side the Waterfront Park, the Aquarium or the National Park building afford great views of the bridge.... More

A beautiful bridge. Cross it several times and you will find something different to see each time. The structure looks like a work of art and it seems everyone photographs it.

We stopped by the Mount PLeasant Visitor's Center for info and to check out the baskets next door. When we realized that the Memorial park was right beneath the bridge, we had to go. Phenomenal views of the bridge. I only wish it had been sunny to provide better background for pictures

I know its hard to beat San Francisco in any way, but Charleston is a great smaller sister and its bridge that spans the Cooper River is a joy to walk, run or ride your bike. The path is clean and fresh, well protected from cars and the vista is spectacular looking at Charleston Peninsula on one side and Mt.... More
