One of the few amazing bridges in the country that welcomes pedestrians - walkers, runners and bikers. You don't have to wait once a year for the bridge race, you have access to it 365 days a year.

We drove over this magnificent bridge when driving to Mount Pleasant from Charleston. I absolutely loved the fact that people can walk, run and ride bikes across this bridge! Next time I visit, I'd like to ride my bike across!

This is an awesome view, it is a very nice piece of work. You can see people biking and jogging on it all the time. Be sure on your way over you take pictures.

Charleston has done wanders in the last 20 to 30 years to reverberate the downtown area and this is the lead in to that area. There is a nice walkway/bikeway that is removed from vehicular traffic and is great for some nice views of Charleston and Mt Pleasant. There is also great views of the harbor and Patriots Point. Best site in Charleston! Home of the Charleston Bridge Run that is held every year with 34,000 runners. Can't ask for a better place to jog.

The bridge is striking in its appearance and even more interesting viewed from different angles. Tour guide advised it was finished well under budget and one year early - impressive! It serves as a major transportation artery from the Charleston peninsula to the Mt. Pleasant area across the river.

If you can walk, ride a bike, run( personally I think this is crazy) the view from the top is breath taking literally. We made a picnic lunch complete with ice cold Mimosas and took a stroll across from Mt. Pleasant to Charleston and grabbed a taxi back.

The Ravenal is truly a marvel of engineering.. Stately and so grand. Any time of the day you can see joggers running across the bridge as well as walkers strolling. The view from the top of the bridge is second to none.glance to your right and you can see Patriots Point and the USS. Yorktown
