Great place to take a walk over after you stuff your belly's at the local restaurants. You can park on the east side of the bridge. Park at the base. The view from the bridge is awesome. From battleships to Ft. Sumter to the historic district. Worth it.

We recently visited Charleston and observed the bridge from the side around sunset. It was absolutely a work of art. With all of the historic buildings in Charleston, one would think a modern art structure would not fit in, but it does and does well. Congrats to the city! Much different Charleston today than when I was frequenting it 20... More

This is an absolutely beautiful bridge. Very cool to look at from afar over the ocean. Once you drive over it though it's a different experience. You feel like you're a part of it. It's really cool.

The pedestrian access is awesome! I loved seeing the boats on the harbor. Watching the dolphins and sea birds. The traffic was busy on the pedestrian access as the weather was in the upper 70's.

We took a bus to Patriot's Point to see the USS Yorktown its museums. Afterward, we decided to walk back to town over the Ravenel Bridge. It was a lovely walk, although windy, with great views and mile markers to keep you encouraged! It only took about 45 minutes on the bridge and was a lot of fun!

We parked about a quarter mile from the base of the bridge and were able to do a walk/run in less than an hour. It is a little windy but the path is wide and secure. There is a large barricade between pedestrians and traffic - this is a perfect spot for hill training.

This bridge is beautiful and a drive over is amazing. You can also walk over this bridge and see the cargo ships passing by.

I went with my husband who was there on business. With a full day and a half free to do me, I headed down King street a little after lunch to do some light shopping (not so light). As it was getting a little late, I decided to stop off a little bar and have a glass of wine. The... More

Although I wouldn't travel here just to see the bridge, I have driven across it many times and have viewed it from various places in and around Charleston, and it truly is beautiful, both up close and from afar. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a look!
