I was not afraid at all...beautiful actually. All good, I will drive next time 😉. Fast too! There was not to much traffic.

The view is grand. I would not get tired of traveling the route. From the bridge, the views of the river are awesome. Not a drive for people afraid of heights or water. I prefer being a passenger so I can look all around.

The bridge itself is a marvel and driving over it is a great experience. The main attraction of the bridge is the park that is under it. It has a life of it's own. There is great parking, wonderful picture taking opportunities, food, and a look at history. Under the bridge, looking down the pier, you will see awnings on... More

Wow! What a view! And a great workout :) Making the trek across the bridge and back is well worth the time and effort. Highly recommend it!

After reading all the glowing reviews, my husband and I jumped in the car and drove across this bridge. It is pretty, but it's not spectacular. On the other side, we parked at the Mount Pleasant Pier and walked out to see the park, playground, and fishing pier. It was very pleasant. If I lived in Charleston, I might want... More

I stayed at the Best Western Mt Pleasant at the foot of the bridge, so it was a natural to take my daily walk over the bridge. There is a completely separate pedestrian area so you don't get close to the cars. It is lined out for walkers and cyclers separately to facilitate traffic. Pretty crowded at times. The view... More

As an avid runner and having traveled to several states to run races, I enjoyed this bridge run as an early morning workout. I stayed in a hotel on the Mt Pleasant side, the park and walkway beneath the bridge was accessable from my hotel. I was able to go up the pedestrian walkway towards Charleston, the walkway is wide... More

The bridge itself is a magnificent work of art. The pier below is shaded from the afternoon sun and the park there is very nice including a playground. The gift shop and cafe are pretty weak but a nice amenity. The bike and walking and running paths and observation decks on the bridge are way cool.

Absolutely breathtaking and beautifully built. Romantic, especially the view from the pier. Very impressed.
