Love the views from the Ravenel and it's an excellent workout as you run from the Mt. P side over and back. Make sure you bring your headphones and good music, as the traffic can be a little loud, but the views of the harbor are second to none.

Great views and a nice little workout as my trip over the bridge was round trip (5 miles)from Patriot Point and back again. Recommend an early morning walk. Mine began at 7am. Soothing breezes and great views. Good for those who want a tough workout or for those who want to take their time!

I'm not very fond large bridges - this one is huge! Makes you feel like you are flying through the sky! Actually, it is a wonderful experience - a beautiful piece of architecture.

While in Charleston with our two young grand daughter, we drove them over the Ravenel bridge and they were so excited by the big ships and the view of downtown Charleston from the bridge. It is so easy to drive over turn around and drive back. It might take a half hour if there's traffic, but you won't regret the... More

Awesome views, well worth the time to take this ride. The approach from Charleston toward Mt Pleasant is a long, shallow climb. The incline on the way back to Charleston is much shorter and you're back in no time.

This bridge has some stunning architecture and is awesomely big. I got to ride over and back several times during my stay and was thrilled each time to be so high above the water below.

A very beautiful bridge connecting Charleston to Mount Pleasant. Unusal bridge to have a walking or bicycle path located right next to the traffic lanes. If your heading to Patriot point, stay in the right lane. There are nice views of the harbor but watch the road.

Beautiful bridge connecting Charleston and Mt. Pleasant. Looking at it was a joy, especially when a rainbow appeared as we were crossing. But you need to make sure you are in the correct lanes to get to your destination, and it may require that you cross traffic fairly quickly...so watch the signs, too!

The view of the area is wonderful from the bridge. An easy walk "up". Maybe a little noisy with the traffic. The park below at Patriot's point offers a jumping off point(not literally) for the walk or cycling over from Mount Pleasant to Charleston. Lunch is available near by at (my favorite) 'The Boulevard Dinner" on Coleman Ave.

I have been to Charleston about 5 times in the past year and have wanted to walk this bridge. It is a beautiful bridge with spectacular views. I walked it with a friend in mid July. Even though it was quite warm at the base, there was a nice breeze toward the top. I am a senior and it was... More
