This bridge is stunning. The visual impact of the bridge is amazing, and the views from the bridge of the Charleston skyline are lovely. If you are a runner, the bridge is 2.4 miles in one direction. It is a beautiful piece of architecture.

Links the main city of Charleston with Mt Pleasant and the beaches of Sullivan Island and Isle of Palms. Great perspective.

Largest cable stayed bridge in North America. Want to go for a walk? Great for that. Lovely vista. Very large, easily traveled, see the Yorktown from thethe bridge. A spectacular part of the Charleston skyline.

I went to this attraction via a harbor cruise. If you like symmetry, you will lover this architectural design. It is also a towering structure of the Charleston skyline. We were not able to go over the bridge; however, our next trip will allow us. Truly a stunning feature in Charleston

The architecture of this bridge is so simple and beautiful. The lines are graceful and make for great photos, both on the bridge and from the shore. There's a safe pedestrian area on one side for walkers, runners, and cyclists. Park at Patriot's Point (metered - $.50/hr) and enjoy the Memorial Park there. A visitor's center nearby has useful information.... More

This bridge can be seen from many locations around Charleston. The architecture of the bridge is a sight to see! As soon as we saw it--we knew we had to at least drive over it. I was happy to see the great, safe walking/biking area built right into the bridge. The weather did not cooperate to allow us to walk/bike... More

This bridge is really impressive from atop and below. We viewed the bride from below on a harbor cruise - engineering at it's best. From the pedestrian walkway (also a bike pathway), one gets a magnificent view of Charleston and the Charleston Harbor. Take the time to walk it in the early morning or at sunset!!!
