We went for the on-line booking discount and confirmed our bookings with a phone-call. The kids (8 and 10) loved it. Since the carriage is allotted a route at random, one can't be picky about the route. Luckily we got Rainbow Row so it was a bonus for us. It's relaxing, educational and nostalgic at times. I would only recommend the carriage tour, just for the carriage ride. We took a tour with Gullah Tours that covered the same information with lot more extras.
