My wife Allie and I picked the perfect night and the perfect guide for a Harbor sunset sail! Brian was extremely knowledgeable of everything Charleston including information about historical churches, the flags on Pinckney Island, shipping, and war history of the city. The sunset was perfect, and Brian was very friendly and personable. I would highly recommend his Prevailing Winds... More

From our initial booking to our return to dock, our experience with Charleston Sailing Adventures was top notch. As owners of our own sailboat in an area with not so great sailing opportunities, my SO and I wanted to take advantage of the mild weather and open water in Charleston Harbor. We stumbled upon a Groupon that was a great... More

This was our first sailing adventure and was something on my wife's bucket list. We couldn't have been happier with our experience. Brian was an amazing captain and gave us a great first experience. We can't wait to come back to Charleston to go sailing with Brian again!

We were in Charleston in December & the weather was HOT, Brian kindly arranged a tour even though it was off-season & mid-week. Captain Phil was knowledgeable and fun & we saw some Dolphins up close!

Not the typical touristy harbor tour, with dozens of your closest friends. Limited to six, BYOB and snacks. A private sail was just what I wanted for my husband's surprise birthday weekend. Although the weather was cloudy and a bit drizzly at times, we scooted along under sail, some of us relaxcing up on the trampoline. A major highlight was... More

This was such a nice experience. It was only me, my wife, and 2 other people on the boat along with the skipper. During our time, we saw Dolphins (and it wasn't even the dolphin excursion), and toured the beautiful charleston harbor. We have recommended this trip to many friends, some of which have gone and also really enjoyed themselves.... More

If you are looking for a personalized charter, and don't want to be jammed on a boat with dozens of others, this may be the ticket for you. Brian, the skipper of the 'Prevailing Winds' is a cheerful host who has deep knowledge of the local waterways, sites, and history. The sail itinerary seems to be ruled by the winds,... More

The sunset cruise was beautiful; we saw a magnificent sunset on a perfect evening complete with pelicans and dolphins. The Charleston skyline was wonderful. Brian, our captain, provided speedy communication about weather conditions etc. and where to meet him at the pier. We look forward to going again.

Capt. Brian gave us an awesome sailing experience. My husband and I never thought we could enjoy a relaxing sail with four kids, ages 11, 8, 4 and 10 months, but we did!! Kids hung out on boat and "trampoline" watching Dolphins, huge boats, etc. (baby bjorned to hubby). Capt. Brian gave us great tour as we sailed past key... More
