Daniel Island is the best of what Charleston has to offer. Visited while at the Scottish Games at Mount Pleasant. Had just see the mini series North & South so it was fresh in our minds. Beautiful outing and lots to see. Not really an attraction but a great afternoon

Very well laid out, reminds one of the Desperate House wives set, very clean. Queen Anne's Revenge is a good place to grab a meal.

This was a wonderful place to visit. Clean, quiet, visually attractive and well manicured. I enjoyed my time there for the Family Circle Cup.

Amazing shopping, tennis, and beautiful! What a fabulous planned community - wish I could move here! Reminds me of a mini family oriented convenient Palmetto Bluff! Old Charleston charm all shiny and new!

The perfect all american planned community, if thats what your looking for. Governor's park is excellent. Great stroll along the river. Worth a stop.

Beautiful, lengthy, shaded walking trail gives great river views. It is adjacent to a dog park and a playground (with a zipline!!) which is a huge hit for my 3 & 5 year old. Only negative is the lack of restrooms in the immediate vicinity of the playground.

Daniel Island is just northwest of Mount Pleasant over the Wando River Bridge. It's a pretty quiet island outside of Charleston, unless there's a concert or tennis tournament at the Family Circle Cup. If you attend one of these events, expect to pay a small fee for event parking. There's also the DI Farmers Market each Thursday from May 1st... More

The light show at Christmas time on James Island is spectacular. It's relatively inexpensive and you can drive through as many times as you want. There are art displays from the schools in the area, walking trails and food (hot dogs, etc) to eat. The people who work there are all very nice and accommodating. It's a nice treat for... More

I've been here once recently when my husband worked down here. Absolutely gorgeous location, would love to come do a photo shoot here in the future. Had no idea this area existed until I met my husband but very thankful to have had the chance to visit!

Lovely Island. 15 min from Charleston, 15 min to Sullivan's Island Beach. 15 min from airport. Semmets is a great restaurant on the island. The owner paintings hang in the restaurant. Great food, great service.
