My tour is Monday through Friday starting at 9 am with breakfast on the Battery, going through the gates and front doors and into my friends' historic Charleston houses and gardens. You are invited in for a refreshing and hospitable tea party at my home overlooking the Ashley River at noon at the end of the morning tour. The goal is to be faithful to the Southern history and to give you the passion of a Charlestonian as you are treated like a guest, not a tourist. « less

If you are visiting Charleston for its history and Southern charm, do not miss this tour. Laura, a native of Charleston not only is very knowledgeable of the city's history and heritage, she let's you experience it by going into these private urban plantations occupied by descendants of its earliest families. This tour is a gem not to be missed.

A fantastic experience for discerning fans of British-style tea service, colonial and Greek Revival architecture, lush flower gardens, and Southern history as most Yankees have never heard it. Highly recommended.

Laura, the tour guide, was also our landlady as we rented her charming, antique-filled apartment in the heart of the city. Laura picked us up and proceeded with a personlized tour of "her" city. Her knowledge is remarkable and her love of the city is most evident. We had breakfast at bed and breakfast owned by a friend of hers... More

Our tour guide and hostess, Laura, was truly gracious and charming. The breakfast at a mansion on the battery was delicious--while we overlooked beautiful Charleston harbor and Fort Sumter. Laura's insights and strong historical background provided us with new perspectives on the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. And the entry into beautiful private homes and extraordinary gardens was an exceptionally wonderful... More
