We loved the tour. Our guide Hoon Calhoun was fun, entertaining and informative. He had a wealth of knowledge about the history of Charleston and made the tour truly worthwhile.

This was a great experience, we had to cancel our dinner reservations because we had so much great food on the tour, 3 restaurants with minimum 3 courses at each stop. Our guide was terrific with interesting tips about the history of food in Charleston mixed with some history of the city. Best tour we took during our stay. The... More

We did the Upper King Street Tour with Hoon Calhoun and it was great. We ate a ton of great food and learned a lot about the culture in Charleston. I would highly recommend doing this at the beginning of your stay so you can check out the other restaurants later. We were able to eat well the rest of... More

5 of us took the Upper King Street Tour with Hoon as the guide. Hoon had me at the mention of "Duke's Mayonnaise". He was a fun and informative guide. I'd also recommend doing a tour at the beginning of your stay so you can go back to your favorites and eat a full meal. There are so many restaurants... More

We took the Downtown tour with Glenn as our host. We sampled some great food and learned about the up and coming Charleston food scene . The tour was a great mix of information about the foods we sampled and the heritage behind the cuisine. My favorite was the steak on the lava rocks at Burwell's. The drinks were yummy... More

The Charleston Culinary Tour is a must for anyone visiting Charleston! After we picked out the freshest ingredients from the farmers market, chef Garrett Priester from Southend Brewery and Smokehouse took them back to his restaurant to begin preparing the 6 course lunch, complete with Watermelon Ricky's, with or without alcohol! (Thanks, Shannon!) Chef Garrett explained how he prepared each... More

This is a must do for anyone who loves food. We did the Upper King St. tour as the downtown tours were booked before we even got to Charleston (Obvious tip: Book early!). That said, we had a blast. Our tour guide Charlie (she) was awesome. Lots of bits of interesting history during the tour. We visited 3 restaurants and... More

Took the Charleston Culinary Tour around the historic part of town and it was Excellent! Our guide "Hound" Calhoun was probably the BEST guide we have ever had anywhere - and given that have been in the travel industry for 16 years, that's saying a lot! He was informative, funny, passionate, interested in what we wanted to hear about. Can't... More
