Description: Charleston Culinary Tours combine the best of Charleston history...
Charleston Culinary Tours combine the best of Charleston history, cocktails and food with unique tours that highlight the Lowcountry. Each Charleston Culinary Tour visits several different restaurants, bars or the Farmer's Market to combine elements of a historical tour with a culinary adventure. The food and drinks on the tours are chosen by various restaurant and bar partners and feature an array of eclectic dishes and concoctions that provide insight into Charleston's cuisine and cocktail scene. On each tour, you will not only have an opportunity to sample some of the Lowcountry's finest offerings, but also to meet the owners, chefs and mixologists behind Charleston's impressive culinary and bar innovations. Five Tours Available:Historic Downtown, Upper King Street, Chefs' Kitchen, The Farmer's Market and Mixology Tour. As most tours sell out, all reservations are required in advance. Groups need to be booked at least three days prior to tour. Each tour is limited in size. Charleston Culinary Tours are held rain or shine.

Best culinary tour! Glen, our tour guide, was excellent. Very knowledgable about the restaurants we visited and gave us some goods tips on other restaurants in the area. He is very passionate about the food of Charleston and wanting everyone to have a good time while there. Glen also gave tips on how to prepare certain foods once we got... More

Overall, this tour was quite fun, tasty, and satisfying. Most of the people on this tour skewed toward an older demographic, but everyone was super courteous in making sure everyone at the table got to sample all the dishes. We went to a total of 4 restaurants, ending with a gelato one at the end, and each place (except the... More

We have just discovered food tours and find it to be a great way to introduce a city. Charleston Culinary Tours did not disappoint. The food was a good sampling of the area. Charley was interesting with a great sense of humor. We loved it!

Hoon Calhoun was our guide, and he was fantastic! He wove together fascinating stories of Charleston history and how it influenced the cuisine. Not to be missed if you are looking for an informative and fun culinary experience.

My husband and I loved the food, our tour guide, and also got to know a few fellow travelers. We had a great time. Worth every penny.

We spent a few hours on a drizzly, overcast Mother's Day with Guilds and he made the experience one of the best we had in Charleston! The food was great, chefs were friendly, stories were entertaining. It was just a great time and we'll be booking another tour when we return.

Looked forward to the farmers market culinary tour. Walked to market, had more than enough time to pick vegetables and cheeses for meal to be prepared. Also enjoyed free time checking out everything else in farmers market . You will be walking. Tip- everyone in group picked a WIDE assortment of veggies. This resulted in wonderful salads that had many... More

Our tour guide, Charley, was a delight. Very knowledgeable about the food and the history of Charleston. The size of our group was just about right with everyone able to meet the others and socialize a bit while walking and dining. I was hoping for a little more time with the chefs and the chance to ask them questions about... More
