My group of 4 were extremely disappointed with this tour. The choice of restaurants seemed random with no theme (HoM, R Kitchen, Ann's Landing, and Sugar). In the first restaurant we could not hear the food narrative of the food tour guide (older lady). The music and talking(at the bar close to us) was loud and she did not clue... More

We signed up for a tour thinking it would be fun to sample foods from several restaurants with a leader to show us the noteworthy eateries. We got SO much more! Hoon Calhoun is not only a direct descendant of a founding father of Charleston (a major street named after him i.e. Calhoun Street along with a huge statue in... More

We vacationed in Hilton Head for the week and did a day trip to Charleston which was a 2 hour drive. We met the tour group (about 16 of us) at a nearby restaurant and started our journey. We did the Downtown Culinary Tour which consisted of about 4-5 wonderful restaurants, but they are subject to change. Our guide was... More

Hoon Calhoun, led us on a tour of the Upper King Street food district. While Hoon is clearly a local character, his knowledge of the history of Charleston, it's food and culture seemed limitless. The restaurants he took us to & his skills as a teller of stories provided an atmosphere in which we almost felt like it must have... More

This was one of the highlights of our trip. Glenn was a fantastic guide. He is extremely knowledgable about what restaurants have the best seafood, desserts, etc. The tour provides a lot of food so be sure to go hungry. We went to 4 restaurants and everything we sampled was delicious. Charleston has so many wonderful restaurants to choose from... More

For my birthday, my husband took me on the Chef's Kitchen Tour, which was led by Hoon Calhoun. It was amazing! We visited several spots on Upper King and tasted several delicious dishes. We met with different chefs from the restaurants - from up-and-comers to James Beard nominees. The highlight for me was meeting Jeremiah Bacon, the Chef at Oak... More

Wife and I have done food tours in Chicago before so when we booked our Charleston trip we knew that it would be on our itinerary. This tour did not disappoint. From the 1st stop to the last every bite was tasty and filling. DO MOT EAT BEFORE GOING ON THIS TOUR. There was more than enough for a meal.... More
