I wish we'd picked either a pirate tour or a ghost tour, the combined tour didn't really fulfill my expectations. We did get a fair amount of Charelstons early history, which was the best part. Personally I would've liked more pirate stories since that was what I was expecting. Can't please everyone I suppose. Our pirate tour guide did not... More

Our seven year old daughter had a great time finding all the clues, and then eventually the treasure chest. The pirate, and his parrot Bob were so entertaining, telling stories, and also including some interesting Charleston history. What a great choice of venue! A nice shady park on a hot day was the perfect place to be. Highly recommended for... More

The tour would be something good to do when you first get to the city and if you are unfamiliar with it. If you have already walked around downtown, you probably won't see anything you haven't already seen. I also expected the tour to be more about pirates. While a pirate gave us a tour, the tour was more on... More

Sorry you didn't enjoy the tour. I was surprised to read that you thought the tour was more about the history of Charleston, though. When we get complaints, they are always about the fact that the tour is primarily about pirate history with too little info on other Charleston history. As for the guide not being very entertaining, perhaps you... More

Based on a review by another Trip Advisor contributor, we took this tour. We are so glad we did. Eric was a wonderful and extremely knowledgeable guide sharing the wonderful streets, homes and parks of the city. Charleston has a very colorful pirate history.

Bought this tour on a whim a few hours before it started. Very good decision. Sabrina was a wonderful tour guide. Funny, knew all the stories, was a wonderful story teller, and had recommendations for all the different restraunts we passed. If a walking tour is on your list of things to do it Charleston do this one. You won't... More

Sorry that you were disappointed, but I would like to point out that we are very clear about what each tour is. The evening pirate and ghost tour combines some pirate history with Charleston ghost stories. Also, we are very clear about the fact that the parrots do not do the evening tours. It is much too late for them.... More

We booked the children's tour for four girls ranging in age from 7-10. Sabrina gave a wonderful theatrical performance and told the kids a lite about pirate history in and around Charleston. It took about an hour and had limited walking which was perfect in the August heat. Highly recommend.

When our grandsons came to visit, the entire family took the Treasure Hunt Pirate Tour. Captain Sabrina & Doozer, her parrot, made sure that everyone had a great time! Historical facts, with some funny anecdotes added, kept the adults thoroughly entertained, while sword-fighting lessons, map reading for clues and racing from one clue site to the next gave the kids... There were 5 of us that took the 2pm tour on 7/5/15. The tour took you around the historical part of Charleston, away from the shops, and you walked the same streets as pirates long ago! Eric REALLY knows his information and his passion about all things pirates really shows through - from his pirate attire to his loyal parrot,... More

When my family returned to Charleston for a week-long vacation, reserving an evening tour with Eric was at the top of our priority list. Having met Eric and his wife, Sabrina a year earlier, we knew we were in for a great evening of master storytelling and local history. We were not disappointed. It was a lot of fun to... More

Pirate Sabrina was fabulous! Wonderful mix of history to keep the parents entertained and a fun treasure hunt to keep my 5-year-old happy. Her real live parent, Doozier, was the real star of the show. This is a must-do activity for little pirates!
