My family went on Eric’s tour on March 11th and it was absolutely wonderful! We had been on a few tours prior to this one and this tour was by far the most informative and fun! I will recommend you to everyone I know! You could tell that it wasn’t just a rehearsed bunch of jargon and that Eric had... More

The Charleston's Pirate Tour was very entertaining and informative. I have to admit that I thought it might be a little cheesy but it was anything but. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend it.

My 18 year old daughter and I visited Charleston and were looking for a fun way to familiarize ourselves with the history of the city - what better way than a walking tour with a pirate?! Sabrina was our guide and met us in full pirate regalia not long after sunset. Her knowledge of the pirate history of Charleston was... More

If you have time to do one walking tour, then definitely take this tour and may be surprised to learn how much the Charleston economy depended on pirates. On the day of our tour, we were the only ones and felt special to have our very own pirate in full dress walk us through Charleston history and was thinking how... More

I'm glad that I chose Charleston's Pirate Tours with Eric and Sabrina Lavender. An entertaining and informative tour; plus, both Eric and Sabrina dress in pirate costumes, which is really fun. My trip to Charleston was in November, and unfortunately, the weather was too cold for Captain Bob, the parrot, to accompany us on the walking tours. Eric and Sabrina... More

Rebecca West — 5 star My boyfriend and I took this tour and were blown away. Our tour guide Eric and Captain Bob were super great! Eric told us so much about the history of the pirates of Charleston. We had a private tour, because we were the only ones for that tour on that day and Eric made us... More

LOVED this Pirate Tour! We did three tours while in Charleston for the weekend and Sabrina with Charleston Pirate Tours blew every other company out of the water!!!!! She was AMAZING! We had been referred to Bulldog tours and tried out two of theirs against Sabrina's Pirate Tour and hers was SO MUCH BETTER. Sabrina was soooo knowledgable and made... More

This was no tacky Disney pirate tour. Eric is a serious pirate expert. It was really very enjoyable. The fact that he dressed like a pirate made it all the more fun.

My friends and I loved this tour. Sabrina was an awesome tour guide and her stories were very engaging. I was skeptical about the pirate outfit and bird being cheeseball but it was actually super fun and Sabrina and her husband adopted those birds when others could not care for them and they clearly love them so they deserve extra... I originally booked this tour as I thought it would be a good way for my 8 yo to hear some history about Charleston and pirates. The first hour was great. I thought the second hour got into too much detail. I found myself zoning out. If you really like pirate history it would probably be more interesting.

As you can see from previous reviews, our other guests appreciate the detail, but I'm sorry that you felt there was too much in the tour. It is a 2-hour, in-depth, history tour, so we do go into detail. Perhaps you and your child would have enjoyed our Children's Tour more. It's specifically geared toward children, is only one hour,...
