COA was recommended by the hotel concierge when we asked about a 2-hour kayak trip. We've kayaked in lots of places around the world and weren't sure what this area would be like. COA delivered a GREAT tour. The day was gray and and no one else showed up at the specified time. So it was just the two of... More

Took a dolphin tour with COA. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information with the tour. We saw many dolphins and had the opportunity to video dolphins breaching to feed. The guide took us to an island to go shelling and we got some of the best shells we have ever found. A definite re-do on... More

We had an amazing 2 hour kayak tour with our guide, Tripp. It was a perfect day for kayaking, 65 degrees and overcast without threat of rain. We saw interesting birds, and the tour would have been well worth the reasonable expense. Near the end of tour, we ended up behind two pods of dolphins. We started to follow them... More

We did a 3 hour guided kayak tour of the salt water marsh. Tripp was an excellent and thorough guide, starting with water safety and kayaking technique before we got in the water, to pointing out the various animals (dolphins, egrets, pelicans, and more) to educating us on the ecosystem. A great way to truly experience Low Country rather than... More

Over Thanksgiving we (5 adults) went on the Morris Island Tour with Captain Trip. It was great! We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were surprised by how much we learned about the surrounding estuary. We have already recommended COA to friends visiting the area. The first part of trip is learning about the lowcountry and saw lots of wildlife (e.g.... More

My sister and I enjoyed a rare vacation to Folly Beach. We had a wonderful kayak rental this morning in the Salt Marsh Areas....we saw many species of birds up close, watched pelican's dive fishing and even saw a dolphin come up to blow - all right from our comfortable 2-person kayak! Derek and Joe were very friendly and knowledgeable... More

This is an activity that my entire extended family enjoyed...all 16 of us! We actually did two activities on two separate days. The first afternoon we did the Morris Island Lighthouse and eco Tour on two chartered boats and the next morning we did the 2 hour Marsh Kayak tour. Both tours were from the Foley Beach location. The beauty... More

We did the twilight tour and couldn't have been more happy! Although we did not see any dolphins as I had hoped we would, our extrodinarily pretty and entertaining tourguide Anna knew tons of amazing stuff about everything we saw. From the whole of the ecosystem we were paddling through, to various species of birds, oysters, plants and even the... More

Being a manager of two local Charleston Bed and Breakfasts, I am always looking for exciting things for my guests to do. Some guests are in town for several days and while the peninsula is a great place to shop and see historical areas, it doesn't offer too many attractions for the "adventurous type" and for people that want to... You will feel like you're in a world away from the awesome the excitement going on in Charleston. The staff will transport you to peace and tranquility in one of the most novel places in the USA! Learn about how the melting snow in the Smokey Mountains becomes a food factory that feeds everything from plankton to the dolphins swimming... More

Isn't it incredible here? Our location is exactly how you describe it; a short distance from Folly or Downtown, but SO far from the hustle and bustle of our beautiful city. Thank you so much for your review and for coming out with Charleston Outdoor Adventures! -Anna and the COA Crew More
