Enjoyable and informative experience. Our Captain Joe was engaging, knowledgeable and passionate regarding the history, wildlife and culture of the Low Country estuary and region. Multiple dolphin and bird sightings. Very good. One of the high points of our visit to Charleston and region.

We missed our tour start time but rented kayaks ourselves. We were on the water for about an hour before we were following dolphins. Got close enough to toutch mom and baby. The got away when my husband fell out of his canoe. Luckily the tour we missed was passing by so the guide could do a water rescue. Thanks... More

Newly arrived to the Charleston area - we did the 2 hour kayak tour and not only learned a tremendous amount about this very special area - but got to see dolphins up close. It was a wonderful introduction to the low country ecosystem. Exploring the low country on water in a kayak will be a must for all the... More

I went on an eco-tour for my grandfather-in-law's birthday last month with about 10 of my other in-laws (ages 19-80). Our 'captain' was able to combine his knowledge and humor for an incredible time. We went out a little later, and were able to take advantage of seeing Folly Creek at sunset. Even as a local, that can never get... More

My family spent a recent weekend in Charleston before taking a carnival cruise and decided we wanted to try something that would give us an experience we would not be able to find at home. This tour, led by a guide named Joe, did not disappoint! It was fabulous! We took the 2.5 hour lighthouse tour in the early morning.... More

Captain Joe was a great guide. Personable, aware, considerate and well-spoken. Under the heat of the sun during our tour, he was aware of the condition of each person in our party and was sure to address all safety needs. He explained with great detail as requested the details of the ecosystem and spoke with passion about the 'beauty' of... More

The three of us booked a 2-hour guided kayak tour. Three other kayaks joined us for a group of 6 kayaks (8 people). Our guide, Derek, was very knowledgeable about the local eco-system, and was very cognizant of individual abilities and stamina. A very informational and enjoyable tour. You can rent a single or double kayak, and they all have... More

We had a great time with Trip on a paddle boarding tour. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting! Anna was also extremely helpful and friendly! Would recommend taking a paddle-boarding or kayak tour with COA.
