I booked a hotel room through Hotels.com and it came with a free carriage tour. Unfortunately it was in the upper 90s on the day of tour. The tour guide offered to get me a towel to sit on as the seat was so hot from the sun. I was very worried about the horse, Picasso. I was heartened to... More

Customer service is terrible. Crabby receptionist(s). Bought the voucher online at the company's website. Did not recognize - kept asking "did you get this at Hotels.com?!Tour guide was nice history buff but lacked any enthusiasm. We do a carriage tour annually with our visit. Of 10 or so tours through the years - this was hands down the worst.

We enjoyed the tour, however when we booked it we were told it lasted a hour, we were back in 45 minutes. Little disappointed in this.

Our tour guides were Greg (who is a history teacher) and Picasso (the horse who did all the work LOL). We drew the number 3 tour and it was excellent! Greg is *very* knowledgeable and was eager to answer any questions. We enjoyed it very much!

Our guide, Eric, and horse, Chico, gave us an informative and enlightening tour of the old homes of Charleston. All 4 of us in our family enjoyed the stories he told. Eric did do a great job answering the many questions that passengers asked. It was a very warm June day and we did stop in the shade most of... More

On vacation in South Carolina and went to Charleston for day. Stopped at the Charleston visitor centre and booked a carriage tour with the Carolina Polo and Carriage company. You meet the carriage in the historic section downtown at the Market area. there are several tour companies so you have to meet at the designated spot for whichever company you... More

Phillip was our guide and Gibbs was our horse/guide. The city of Charleston regulates all of the carriage rides and uses the lottery system for choosing the routes. We got lucky and got the best route. We saw a little of everything. Phillip was extremely knowledgeable and if you had a question he had the answer! We went on a... More

We toured the city on a carriage. Our young guide filled us in on everything from history, architecture, and botany. Our horse was spooked by a semi, but the guide kept things well in hand. We really enjoyed the trip and went back to explore many of the sights on foot.
