Quite simply, we were in the back of the carriage and couldn't hear the driver at all. She talked a lot of the time facing forward. I'm not sure if they already do this sometimes, but they need 2 people working per carriage: One to drive and one to talk to the passengers. The people in front of us couldn't... More

My husband and I elected this carriage ride to show us around town... And because I've always wanted to take a carriage ride. We are huge animal lovers, so of course we were concerned about the horses on these tours getting hot or being mistreated. Telesha put us at ease very quickly by introducing us to Picasso and telling us... More

the 45 min tour seemed a little pricey, but it was worth it. The driver/tour guide was amusing (I think his name was Josh) and he was also knowledgeable. The trip was very informative. The only thing is that all the info was thrown at you so quickly there were no time for questions and I had a lot of... More

I stopped in charleston for just a few hours and wanted to take a carriage tour. I visited the visitor centre first and found that their tours were far cheaper than alternatives being sold outside. From the visitor centre k took the free trolley to the pick up point. This was another great way to see some sights. The tour... More

We had a wonderful time on this Carriage ride Joshua was our tour guide and this was only second day to give the tour and I don't think if someone had been doing this 10 years they could have done any better than him. You have no say in which route you get to take but luck would have it... More

This tour was very nice. It is nicely paced with lots of information. Our guide for the tour was Tim Dillinger (sp?) and he was fabulous! He was funny, engaging, and informative! Our horse, Chico, was great as well! I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the city!

Nice way to get a feel for the city and learn some of its history. The tour takes you past many historic houses and gives you a 'lay of the land' for taking your own tours.

Enjoyed the tour of the city. We had Greg the History teacher who did this as a side job and could tell that he loved what he did. Like other reviews, there are 3 different sections of Charleston which one tour is randomly selected for each carriage by the city. Good way to hear stories about certain places on the... More

Enjoyed the tour of churches and homes in charleston on the carriage tour. One thing to know: after you are on board then the destination is determined by a city employee which one of several tours you take. While this one was not the one we had wanted, it was interesting. Our driver/guide was very informative and cordial.
