We decided to go on a carriage ride thru Charleston as the weather was not very cooperative for walking and we were tired of being rained on. The ride was nice and the tour guide was very informative. We went on the carriage with our 2 daughters ages 9 and 11 and they really enjoyed the laid back pace after... More

Ryan did an excellent job pointing out the past and local jargon used in Charleston. He was very informative and very funny. I would highly recommend the Horse and Buggy tour even on a Hot day. It was a cool breeze on a Hot day!

Our tour guide was John and he made the tour great! He seemed to know so much about the history but best of all we got to ride with his service dog Miley who was so sweet! The tour was just the right amount of time and still covered a lot.

The carriage driver was very knowledgeable and competent and the tour was interesting however the driver should leave his dog at home and not make us privy to the problems that he was having with having with the company. Also shouldn't the horses have water available in that severe heat and humidity ?

We had a great guide who was able share a lot of information about the Charleston area we toured. Answered everyone's questions and what very few things he wasn't sure of, he told you so. I normally would rather walk a tour like this but, it turned out to be very enjoyable.

I didn't enjoy that we were crammed in to the carriage on such a hot day. I also felt bad that the horse had to pull all 17 of us (including the tour guide). The tour guide had a couple interesting "facts", but for the most part I didn't enjoy his stories or the pace of the tour.

If you are going to Charleston,SC to enjoy the history, a carriage ride around the historic district is a must-do. However be cautioned that there is a strong odor of hot sweaty horses and/or their manure which may put you off. I have minimal sense of smell so it was not overly offensive to me and if anything it added... More

This tour is great for learning about the City's history. You will learn a lot about the old houses in Charleston and Charleston during the civil war. Our tour guide, Jon, was really great and knowledgeable. You could tell that he loved what he did.
