Description: Old Charleston Walking Tours is proud to offer an array of narrated walks...
Old Charleston Walking Tours is proud to offer an array of narrated walks that cover the most interesting historical issues and sights in a city known for its turbulent past and unusual beauty. Our guides are the best in the business, with years of research and storytelling experience. They promise the kind of accuracy, insight and enthusiasm that create a delightful touring experience. Let them lead you to Charleston's hidden alleys and tell you what went on behind its closed doors. The daytime walks last approximately two hours. The ghost walks are shorter (and scarier). We go rain or shine. There are no hills. The pace is easy. Please join us. You'll be glad you did!

While visiting Charleston we attended the ghost tour one night & the civil war tour another morning. I cannot say enough great things about Mike & Dennis, these were by far the best tours we have been on while traveling. Mike and Dennis were extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic, while making both of our tours very memorable. Even though the civil... More

We went with some friends on a 9:30pm ghost tour and really enjoyed it! Our guide was Mason; he was helpful and a great story-teller! You see a few different parts of Charleston and learn a little bit of the history. If you are open-minded and let your imagination run wild, you definitely get some chills! There is so much... More

Great tour. Very informative and passionate guide. It was fun to hear a passing carriage tour guide point out our guide as "the best in town".... Later we learned our guide was one of those who administers the tests to the tour guides.

As many have already indicated, Mike is a great guide and someone you can tell is passionate about the "creepiness" that Charleston has to offer. I saw that one commenter said, "they thought it would be more historically based . . . encompassing more "important" history." I would like to point out that this is a "ghost" tour. Mike has... This tour was o.k. We did this tour with our 4 teens. I thought it would be more historically based...meaning encompassing more "important" history...not history about relatively non-famous people or structures. It was kinda weird standing in parking lots or behind buildings. My husband and I wondered a couple of times if we were on the right tour.. We did... More

Boyfriend and I did a walking tour with Dennis Stiles - it was great! I was amazed at the amount of information Dennis was able to pack into the tour. The tour was in July and Dennis was very conscious of the heat/sun and made every opportunity to walk in the shade and cool areas.

We took the 9:30 pm ghost tour with our girls, ages 16 and 10 and were pleasantly surprised. I was a little leery prior to the tour, worrying that it might be cheesy or overly scary for our girls, but Mike was a very good guide and included some humor along with the stories of strange happenings. He really did... More

Did a 7:30 ghost tour with Mike and agree with most of the comments before that it was awesome. Started and ended very promptly. He was very informative and enthusiastic. We walked around 9-10 places in Charleston (you will be standing most of the tour, but it goes very slow), and each one told a very interesting story. My wife... More

Went on a walking ghost tour of Charleston our last night in town. Our tour guide has been doing this for 20 years. He was very knowledgeable and intriguing regarding all of the history and stories throughout Charleston. Ticket prices were a little high, however the tour lasted for about 90 minutes. We stopped at different buildings and such around... More
