Description: Old Charleston Walking Tours is proud to offer an array of narrated walks...
Old Charleston Walking Tours is proud to offer an array of narrated walks that cover the most interesting historical issues and sights in a city known for its turbulent past and unusual beauty. Our guides are the best in the business, with years of research and storytelling experience. They promise the kind of accuracy, insight and enthusiasm that create a delightful touring experience. Let them lead you to Charleston's hidden alleys and tell you what went on behind its closed doors. The daytime walks last approximately two hours. The ghost walks are shorter (and scarier). We go rain or shine. There are no hills. The pace is easy. Please join us. You'll be glad you did!

OK, I didn't take the tour with a company, but decided to take a tour using a classic Charleston Book by Alan Hartley (walkingtourbooks.com). The book or manual is about fifteen pages and provided a walking tour of about 100 significant points. It took us about three hours to finish our walking tour and gave us additional incentive to read... More

What a great tour! We all really enjoyed Mike Brown. He was so much knowledge about Charleston and it's spooky past! We saw other ghost tours from different companies advertised for 45 minutes but this tour went well past an hour, so we definitely felt we got our money's worth! This was our first night in Charleston. It was nice... More

This was literally the best tour of any city that I've ever had. I've always been a big history buff and I must say, Dennis really knew his stuff. This tour even appealed to my girlfriend who isn't nearly into history as I am. Even if you think you know a lot about the Civil War or slavery in the... More

Great tour very informative tour without the crappy acting and staged Gould you often get on these tours. We got good facts and explanations to the stories best one in Charleston easy.

I am a history buff, have taken numerous tours, and can honestly say have been disappointed and delighted around the globe. As a resident of South Carolina I know my history, but visitors enjoy various tours in Charleston and Savannah. Denny at Old Charleston Walking Tours does an excellent job. His History and Homes Tour is informative, fun and offers... More

Attended the Civil War History walking tour with my husband and adult son last week. Dennis is a light-hearted tour guide, so the tour was both fun and educational---I learned alot about local history and customs. He used landmarks in Charleston to weave stories about the economic, political, social, military and religious factors that impacted the people and history of... More

We had a very nice walking tour with a guide who lived in the area and was very knowledgeable. Very nice pace and nice presentation gave us a nice overview of historic section of Charleston and the walk went to the battery as well with a view of Fort Sumter in the distance. Great way to experience Charleston! Make reservation... More

My husband and I took the walking tour of Charleston last March with Diana. By a very cold morning, our guide was ready to take the group throught the streets of the old Charleston. She explained very well without feeding you with small details that you wont remember anyway. A very smart way to discover the town. Do not hesitate... More
