Description: Old Charleston Walking Tours is proud to offer an array of narrated walks...
Old Charleston Walking Tours is proud to offer an array of narrated walks that cover the most interesting historical issues and sights in a city known for its turbulent past and unusual beauty. Our guides are the best in the business, with years of research and storytelling experience. They promise the kind of accuracy, insight and enthusiasm that create a delightful touring experience. Let them lead you to Charleston's hidden alleys and tell you what went on behind its closed doors. The daytime walks last approximately two hours. The ghost walks are shorter (and scarier). We go rain or shine. There are no hills. The pace is easy. Please join us. You'll be glad you did!

We did the ghost tour and had a great time! Mark the owner even squeezed us in since we were leaving town and had already bought tickets. We had Matt as our guide as the group was split into two due to its size. Matt did a GREAT job!!! His presentation was both informative and entertaining!!! This busboys ghost tour... More

After evaluating reviews for several touring companies, we selected Old Charleston Walking Tours for our family ghost tour experience primarily because Mike Brown came highly acclaimed and the website clearly stated that he personally is the tour guide for all ghost tours. Upon on our arrival for the 7:30pm tour we were disappointed when we realized the tour group was... More

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to read that you were disappointed with your experience. Your point is taken about the website. I have only recently had the good fortune of Matt’s help on a regular basis. That necessitates a change in the tour description and one will be forthcoming in the next few days. Consequently, I have... More

set this up for my family (with 2 teenage girls) as something off the beaten path to do. Very informative and interesting. Sad and scary ghost stories about actual Charleston residents. Took the 7:30 tour which was better for pictures. Tour guide was very well informed. Stories did not appear as rehearsed and canned. Tour is 2 hours long but... More

We took the 7:30 p.m. walking ghost tour of Charleston and it was lots of fun. Our tour guide was great at telling the stories of the places we were seeing. The walking was not too strenuous, but I do wish I had brought mosquito spray.

We did the Civil War and Slavery tour in March 2015 after having done the Ghost Tour back in March 2013. Both tours were fantastic! Both tour guides were knowledgeable and funny and did a great job. The information provided on both was interesting...the tours went by so fast because they so much fun! Highly recommend either (or both!).

By nature, all ghost tours are a little hokey.....but Mike really knew his history and made the stories interesting and entertaining. He really knew his charelton history, and wove it into his 'creepy stories'. We have taken other ghost tours that were just plain cheesy - this one was great!

Took the 7:30pm ghost tour with Mike on 7/8/15. The 9:30pm tours I was hoping for were already sold out for the week. Decided to try this 7:30pm tour instead of one from a different group because of the positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed - our family really enjoyed the tour. Mike's ghost stories were interesting... More
