We went on an Old Charleston Walking tour w/Denny Stiles. We saw a number of classic sites within Charleston. Denny had a great grasp of Charleston history and had many anecdotal stories of famous people and events that made the tour very interesting and never a dull recitation. More

My best friend and I took a haunted walking tour at night. We were out of towner's and not super familiar with where we were meeting. This is the first time in fifteen years anyone has referred to my ghost tour as boring. A look at the other reviews posted here will show that this is not the typical reaction. Having just read " South of Broad" my friend and I were excited to experience Charleston from the author's perspective. Unfortunately we were informed that the tour was discontinued, talk about disappointing! Michael E. Brown gave my history club of teenagers an excellent walking tour of Charleston. This would be great for young adults as well. Unlike some tour guides, he didn't put on an over-the-top show, or tried to be overly dramatic, he just knew his stuff and told it in a compelling fashion. Would highly recommend! More
