Hi, my name is Brian Simms. My family has been in the area for 10 generations. Our All About Charleston tour features the history, culture and architecture of the area. We will stroll the streets of the "Holy City" while sharing stories along the way. There is a rich history and culture I would like to share and look forward to showing you the sights of our beautiful city, creating an experience you will remember for years to come!

Brian got our first trip to Charleston off to a great start. The walking tour was our first stop since we haven't been to Charleston before. Interesting stories, history, and nostalgia shared. The time went quickly and we received a helpful orientation to the city!

Brian took me for a private visit of Charleston for more then 3 hours. Not only the beauty of the city and it's different area's was shown with passion, even more the complex history and its role in the overall "conception" of the US was explained and documented with lots of stories and names of local "heroes". Of course, the... More

I took this walking tour in January with my husband. He loves history...me, not so much. HOWEVER, Brian was so engaging and informative, I found myself completely enthralled. It was worth braving the bitter cold wind to take this tour!

My husband and I love to take walking tours to get to know old cities, and Charleston Sole's tour did not disappoint. Brian was very knowledgeable and great at throwing out interesting tidbits. We highly recommend this walking tour to others!

I have been on several walking tours in Charleston, and I enjoyed this one the most. Brian is so knowledgeable about the city, and has great stories about almost everything you could point out on his trips. Even if you have been to Charleston quite a few times as I have, you will learn something new on this tour!

The best tour guide for those wanting to discover the best kept secrets of Charleston. I highly recommend. Even my teenage son loved this walking tour.

Brian was a fantastic tour guide- giving the right amount of history and gossip to keep everyone interested and entertained! Our family of 3 (one 14 yr old) all enjoyed the tour. You really got a great view of Colonial / Pre Civil War / Antebellum Charleston in this 2.5 hour walk. Well worth the time to center yourself on... More

I guess this wasn't the right tour for me. I was looking for a walking tour that provided a general overview of the city current and past. The tour guide was VERY knowledgeable concerning Charleston's history but it was just too much historical info for me to take in. I got fidgety standing in one place being lectured to. I... More

I am so sorry for your dissatisfaction with the tour. During the Christmas week we have had some larger groups. With larger groups sometimes, come more questions. There are some who want a little at each place, but I have found most want a little more meat. I ask everyone before we start the tour, "What would you like to... More

Brian is very personable and knows his way thru the history of Charleston. In the winter I would advise that you dress in lots of layers. It can be warm in some spots, but much colder near the water. My daughter called this a "standing-still" walking tour. You can not count on the exercise of walking to stay warm. You... More
