I will guide you on a memorable two-hour walking tour that includes an introduction to some of our most celebrated landmarks and hidden treasures that make this such a special place to visit. We will start at the Old Exchange Building (Charleston's Independence Hall) then stroll through the streets of Charleston. Just a few of the sites covered are St. Michael’s Church: the oldest church edifice in Charleston, Four Corners of Law: referenced in Ripley’s “Believe It or Not”, Rainbow Row: multi-colored residences today, was once the center of the waterfront economy, Antebellum Mansions: see the grandeur and beauty of these pre-Civil War homes, Historic Waterfront Battery: named for the entrenchments and bastions once protecting the holy city, Revolutionary and Civil Wars: overall history and sites that defined these battles for independence and state rights. There is a rich history and culture I would like to share and look forward to showing you the sights of our beautiful city, creating an experience you will remember for years to come! « less

This walking tour was one of the highlights of our stay in Charleston in April, 2013. Brian was a terrific tour guide and we learned alot about the city. One thing about Brian is that he seems to be constantly learning and is able to pass that enthusiasm to people on his tour. While the tour was scheduled to last... More

This was our first waking tour of Charleston in April 2013 after numerous trips there over the years. We chose Brian because of other reviews we had read and are very pleased we chose him. He was very pleasant to talk and walk with and was very knowledgeable. We would recommend taking Brian's tour of Charleston.

Have taken a Charleston Sole walking tour twice now - November 2011 and April 2013 - and we will definitely go with them again. Each time was outstanding in its own right. Brian, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about this great historic city. The tour is advertised as 2 hours but each time it lasted close to 3... More

This was our first guided tour of any city and we learned more history than we expected. Our two hour tour flew by in a flash. Brian is very knowledgeable and shows great passion for the city of Charleston. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn a lot about Charleston's history as well as architecture.

Brian is so knowledgeable ,obviously loves what he is doing, and it shows. We were attracted to his tour because he will tailor it to your interests. I am interested in gardens and architecture but my husband prefers history. The tour group was small and Brian was amazing! He fielded all kinds of questions with interesting facts and information. He... More

My husband and I learned so much Charleston (and national) history. We loved Brian's passion for his work, and his knowledge of the area was phenomenal. I am recommending him to anyone who will travel to Charleston.

I am a Charleston Native and bring my family to Charleston yearly. A walking tour is a great way to expose the family to the history of Charleston. Brian was an excellent tour guide. You can tell he cares about his tours and continually researches for new material. I have already recommended Brian to friends visiting Charleston and gladly recommend... More

Our walking tour with Brian was what we most remember about our time in Charleston. His enthusiasm for what he does and for the city is apparent. When we arrived at the meeting place we could have believed it was his first tour! The Hagenmaiers of Los Altos, CA

First of all, I have nothing but good things to say about Brian. He is professional, polite, and really knows a lot about Charleston. But, maybe our group was just dull, but the tour didn't get my juices flowing. Several days later, I really don't remember a whole lot of what was talked about on the tour. Our group didn't... More

Had a great tour on a recent visit to Charleston. THere were about 15 of us on the tour - so manageable, I wouldn't want anymore than that. We moved at a good pace and saw many sights south of broad St in the residential areas, rainbow row, and the battery. Love history, so we were intently listening for all... More
