This was an exceptionally great time on board the Sandlapper. Captain Mike and Crystal went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a wonderful time. Even thought it was not a guided tour they offered very interesting facts that I had not ever heard before. They searched out Dolphins to entertain us and pointed out many of the local... More

We had tried to get on another (larger) tour boat, however they would not allow our 5 lb Chihuahua. Fortunately Sandlapper's captain was a lot more understanding and flexible. In stead of quoting policy he used his brain :-)! This was the best thing that could have happened. We had a great trip and the tour guide was very knowledgeable.... More

This was by far one of the coolest things we've done in Charleston. The captain and tour guide were great hosts. The harbor is beautiful at sunset and we were even able to see a few dolphins! We will definitely be coming back during our next visit to Charleston

Early Saturday morning nature tour: The guide and captain were both knowledgeable and interesting. We saw dolphins and birds on the way to Morris Island where we were able to explore for about 30 minutes. Although there were not many treasures found during our visit, this is to be expected some days on the beach. We then headed back downtown... More

My Husband and I went on the sunset cruise with Sandlapper tours. It was beautiful and quite relaxing. The crew tried to keep the atmosphere serene by offering little interjection throughout the night, but the short bits of insight into some of the major landmarks we crossed was very welcome. The misses of the crew had some really interesting historic... More

A friend and I took the "history" version of the tours offered by this company, which also offers sunset cruises and nature outings. We really enjoyed the trip, which provided a nice overview of the waterfront mansions and Fort Sumpter. The guide spoke just enough, and when she couldn't answer a question, would ask the skipper if he knew or... More

We were so very excited to take the history cruise that is offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays!-however the weather would simply not cooperate. There was a massive downpour, wind and even thunder! The owner didn't exactly want to cancel because there was no lightening (completely understandable!) but we were nervous about the possible lightening, not to mention being completely soaked... My husband and I enjoyed the sunset cruise on a beautiful warm evening. The cruise was two hours in the Charleston harbor. We sailed under the Ravenel Bridge, past the Yorktown, out as far as Ft. Sumter and then up the Ashley River to the bridges and back to the marina. This not a fully narrated trip although some of... More

My wife and I were in Charleston for our anniversary and decided to take the Ghost Tour and Cruise of Charleston Harbor tour because we have previously done ghost tours by carriage and wanted a change of pace. We really did this tour for the opportunity to see the harbor at night and enjoy being on the water. The view... More

My husband and I took our two grandchildren, ages 8 & 9 on this tour. It was wonderful. The staff was great and the naturalist was very informative. There were not too many other guests on the boat, (15ish) so it made a nice size for personal interaction with the crew and naturalist. Would definitely recommend.
