This is a wonderful park, with lots of large old trees. Since the park sits on a corner it is surrounded by water on two sides with a fabulous view. The park is very relaxing and provides lots of shade on a hot day. It is a great place to relax when walking, or a wonderful place to take the... More

We visited Charleston on what turned out to be a VERY HOT day, so the fountains had children splashing in them, and the tree lined park walk with benches for sitting was Heaven-sent. Squirrels come right up to you. People are friendly and gladly share information about just about anything you need.

We walked from the Waterfront Park to the South Battery. Along the way (1 block up) is the famous Rainbow Row. It's more than just colored houses attached. During your walk by them, there are historical signs that explain their original purpose, the in between of now and then. South Battery Park gives you the feel of easily going back... More

We found his brochure in our hotel lobby. We tried to go on Saturday and Sunday, but no spots were available. Thankfully, we were able to go on Monday morning. Jeff's tour was great. He was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Charleston. I enjoyed it.....accept for the heat. It was a little too hot that day for my liking. I... More

The swings on the boardwalk are delightful. The fountain is lovely and great for people watching. A beautiful place with wonderful people. We were charmed by a 96 year old named Evangeline who we happened upon. A graceful woman who epitomizes the Charleston Southern charm.

We were recently in Charleston for a beautiful spring weekend and discovered Waterfront Park near the Battery Hustiric area in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. It's a lovely shaded park for walking, sitting, photo taking or weddings. Don't miss this during your visit.

The park is clean, well manicured and has great views. It's nice to go out on the pier, swing on one of the hanging benches on the pier or walk along the paths. A must visit for families and couples alike!

It is a very clean, pleasant area with lots of nice houses (mansions) and trees to lure me to take photos and photos. Its such a nice port for a cruise stop over for a day. I even found an old telephone booth in the park. We also found an Italian Ice vendor selling lactose free gluten free ice, great... More
