It is definitely worth walking through to see this. We walked down to the waterfront park & found dolphins swimming by the cruise ships- there were at least 6-8 of them just swimming south. The fountains there were awesome to see everyone just enjoying a really hot 103 degree day. I even threw my feet in for a bit but... More

Waterfront Park is the perfect place to pause during you day walking around Charleston. There's usually a gentle breeze and a great view of the activity in the water. We always enjoy gelato on the porch swings and watching the kids and visitors enjoy the fountains!

We walked from one end to the other on the hottest day in history, kids playing in the fountains with lifeguards on duty. Very lovely gardens and views of the water and neighbourhood homes. Swinging chairs, and shaded benches. Italian Ice vendors. We were hoping to see some dolphins and all the people we met said we would see them... More

We didn't spend much time at the Waterfront park. It was hot at night and the children would play in the water fountains to cool down.

After walking all the back streets we wound up at the park. Many benches in the shade to relax. Site of the beautiful pineapple fountain.

I absolutely adore Waterfront Park! My favorite times in Charleston are when my boyfriend and I get our coffee and walk along the waterfront. It's absolutely beautiful to watch the sun rise there! It's how I imagine heaven :)

This is a must see attraction if you are in Downtown Charleston. There are two fountains that are always full of children playing and trying to cool off. The Pineapple Fountain is a very neat to see. There is plenty of shade, and seating if you want to take a load off from walking the streets of downtown. You can... More

Ok, you will be asked by several kids to buy "grass roses". You will also have to get past the kids playing loudly in the fountain. Of course, you will also see some great things-Sailboats, dolphins, waves, Fort Sumter, and more are easily enjoyed here. A special treat is when it is sprinkling rain and you can walk under the...
