$16.00 Admission is a Great Bargain. You can spend the entire day exploring a Great Aircraft Carrier. If you like Naval History, you will enjoy all the different tours and exhibits. There is aircraft from every major conflict the U.S. has participated in. Along with the Yorktown tour, you can tour a submarine that is in remarkable shape. There are... more

you simply cannot imagine how much there is to see in this craft. That was my primary impression. We were there for 3 hours on a very windy and chilly day, but I could have lingered all day. The airplanes alone make for quite a museum, but the tours add so much more. This is the best tour of its... more

My wife and I visited Patriots Point and we took the tour of the Yorktown. I was amazed at the access that we had to the ship. There are 6 different tours and you could easily spend a whole day there. When you walk around the ship, you can almost sense the presence of those who have served aboard it.... more

Visited with a group of 6, including senior citizens. What an amazing experience! The Yorktown itself is truly astounding. Words fail in describing the complexity and spartan nature of a military vessel, even of that size. To see this attraction is to grow in appreciation for our sailors and the sacrifice they make. The Submarine tour is similarly eye-opening. It... more

... or most of them! I had been here before, about 18 years ago, and this time returned with my 14 year old son and 10 year old daughter - my wife went shopping! Both kids enjoyed the Yorktown and the submarine, seeing the flight deck and below decks. Amazing sense of scale on the carrier, and of how cramped... more

I'm a 36 yo female and I visited with my 53 yo mother and 3 young girls between 10-11 yo and we were all absolutely fascinated by the Yorktown. My mom had gotten tired by the 3rd tour and didn't want to climb to the flight deck but I convinced her to continue on because I knew the view would... more

What a great experience Patriots Point is. The USS Yorktown is awesome!!!! We spent several hours walking in, around, and on the aircraft carrier and just couldn't get enough. The staff was great and there is a lot to see. There are two other ships, a destroyer and a Coast Guard ship, along with a submarine that can be toured... more

Two adults and two children cost us around $58 for this visit. If you had the time and energy, you could probably spend 5 of 6 hours here easily. The selfguided tour of the Yorktown was amazing. I had been unsure if my wife and daughters would enjoy this experience, but they were pretty much in awe of everything they... more

This was a very interesting attraction, probably the most balanced attraction in terms of holding everyone's attention (kids and adults alike) in Charleston. You can walk through the ship at your own pace (routes are laid out to follow, so you're not wandering blindly), allowing you to spend as much or little time as you like. They have set-ups with... more

I had read reviews about Patriot's Point from other TripAdvisors members. I thought this would be something my husband would really enjoy. I went to the Patriot's Point website, and I was sold...and so was he! His dad had been in the Navy during WW2, so there is that personal connection. I had read from another reviewer to plan on... more
