Well organized and perfectly located making it a very easy city to get around. There is little hunting for information or transportation, and little wasted time. Just go there and all else will fall into place. More

I can't say that we spent a lot of time at the visitor center but the time we were there was valuable. We went there first-good place to park and use the restrooms before starting our visit to sightsee in Charleston. Historic building. Close to hotels, restaurants, attractions. Grayline Tours leave from this facility. Exceptionally clean. Every tour or attraction information is available at this facility. Maps, Directions, everything you need to know about Charleston and getting around. The Hop On Hop Off Trolley is available adjacent to their facility. Plenty of parking. Fee charged for parking but worth it. More

This may be the worst 'visitor' information center I have ever been to. No tourists maps, no city information (public trans, parking, general unbiased info). All they did was shill for plays, tour guides, horse carraiges... A very unpleasant place that was only useful in starting our visit in a foul mood. More

I called Gray Line and they picked my wife and me up at my downtown Best Western Plus hotel. Gray Line brought us to this visitor center (in the old train depot) to buy tickets for the city tour and the Ft. Sumter tour.
