A first stop here saves you lots of time and aggravation. Information from experienced advisors on everything from hotels and restaurants to attractions and the transportation needed to get there. Looking for an organized tour? They start here. Need trolley passes. They're sold here. Parking available in the parking ramp (reasonable rates). Go here first and you'll be sure not... more

It wasn't our first stop but probably should have been. This is a rather large tourist center with lots of displays, maps and pamphlets, experts to consult, clean bathrooms, shop for T-shirts and other reasonably priced Charleston souvenirs, and a film on Charleston. All was good but we could have skipped the movie which was so-so at best and had... more

Our first stop in Charleston was the Visitor's Center. We arrived in the city about 12:15pm. Gabe Wright was our first introduction to Charleston. He made such a positive impression on both of us. It is his job to advise tourists, but he goes above and beyond that. He genuinely cares about giving the best information for a successful trip... more

We recently signed up for a bus tour of historic Charleston, SC., and purchased a combination ticket that included a sidetrip to Fort Sumter. After winding through the streets of the historic area, we were dropped off near a loading dock and told that our boat to Fort Sumter departed in two hours! Fortunately, we don't mind taking walks, because... more

This should be your first stop into the great city of Charleston. It's a beautiful facility with plenty of information to help you plan your trip once you are here. They also sell tickets and help you find a place to stay if you get here without reservations. more

This is the biggest and most beautiful visitor center I have ever been to. They have local artist's work on display. There is a video you can watch, and a gift shop. They also have a model of the city under glass on the floor of the building. You can buy tickets for almost anything there too. Lots of maps,... more

The visitor's center was full of helpful info and they also found us a great hotel which we absolutely loved, the Meeting Street Inn. When we arrived at the Visitor's Center we could not find parking on the street so we followed the signs to the parking garage across the street, which cost $1.50. On returning to our car I... more

We've been to this visitors centre and the people were very friendly. We didn't book any hotel via them but we enjoyed our walk through Charleston. They really took the time for us. more
