Nice fountain on the SW corner of the park. Take a history tour and they will tell you all about the public hangings that took place in Marion Square back in the day. Otherwise, it's a park. A couple homeless people laying around, but nothing fancy.

This was fun and has a great atmosphere. Mostly locals and families., but it was great for people watching and a relief from architecture and touristy stuff. especially, if you have children.

Some lovely artwork in pop up tents ... At night, drunks at the fountain. though a police care was in the park, it's a shame.

The annual outdoor 'Juried art exhibition' is always interesting if only to try to show you how out of step you are! Every ribbon was awarded to an 'arty' piece with the exception of the Mayor's Choice which was a charcoal REAL work of art. We bought a photo print from Steven Hyatt who had been featured in a photo... More

This is a beautifully charming small but great park to walk through. It is centrally located to all in downtown Charleston and has well maintained grassy areas, fountains, and statues. Great to spot to enjoy a relaxing afternoon, taste & purchase local foods, treats & unique items from the many local artisians that are frequently set up in the park.

The square is located downtown and gives a place to relax and stop to enjoy the scenery. There are some churches and hotels along with several restaurants nearby.

This affords you a great opportunity to try local foods and buy locally from farmers, chefs, and artists. Get there early to score the best deals and to get a seat to have a meal (BBQ, Greek, Vietnamese, Crepes).....

This is a small but great little park to walk through. It is centrally located to all in downtown Charleston and has well maintained grassy areas, fountains, and statues. Especially with spring flora coming out it was a very enjoyable walk about. It seems to be a popular place for all including tourists (me), college students seeking a place to... More

About six acres of grass with a couple of statues to look at. College kids laying or sitting around smoking, reading, sun bathing, or playing pick up games. We walked by a couple of times on the way to other places. Nothing much there.

Large park area with good in town location. Community utilizes area well during festivals. Area provides nice place to stroll through and around, Only down side is area attracts some homeless people at night.
