There are lots of things to do on Saturday in Marion Square. Bring quarters to park on the street or find public parking just 2 blocks up from the Square. Walk from your hotel or even ride a bike to the corner of Calhoun and King Street. Mother Emmanuel AME Church is just a few blocks away. You might consider... More

This is a central green area in Charleston. It has many different facets. It is an heritage of the city's history, it has an holocaust memorial, it holds a farmers' market on Saturdays, it is a meeting point for students who also come to play outdoor sports or to sunbath, it is an outdoor movie theater a few days every... Marion Square has a bustling market on Saturday mornings. They have a ton of stalls as well as bouncy houses for the kids. There was also a crew of break dancers that drew a huge crowd at the corner of King and Calhoun. Great for a stroll any time of day. Bring your blanket for the grass or a hammock... More

We like to go to the Farmers Market on Saturdays! There are so many vendors and so much to check out at the farmers market. We love getting our produce here! Def a must to do during the summer on Saturdays!

During my recent stay I walked through Marion Park several times a day. I was staying north of Calhoun Street, at the Hampton Inn. It was a nice green space in the city to pass through. There are several fountains in the park and I sat there to rest, and take photos. It was a welcome place to be after... More

We stayed at the Francis Marion Hotel which is right across the street from the park, it seems very busy during the day with things going on all the time. I was able to see it at around 8am on a sunday during my morning run before all the people populated the park. The most touching part of the park... More

We stayed across the street at the Francis Marion Hotel during piccolo Spoleto Festival. It happened that there was a art fair in the Square. We walked around and saw many wonderful local artists which made our stay in Charleston special

Marion Square always seems to have some type of activity happening... It's large and has benches where you can sit and rest your feet... restaurants and coffee shops are easily accessible. This past weekend, I enjoyed the Piccolo Spoleto Art fair with wonderful paintings and also the Farmer's Market on Saturday... Such a wonderful venue!

Amazingly happy to discover the Saturday farmer's market. Great food and crafts as well as fun activities for kids (bouncy castles, ponies, space to run around)
