We chose the late 9:30 tour, which started from the Waterfront Park. Ended up having a private tour, no one else joined us. Frank was our tour guide and he was fantastic! My 10 year old niece came home with great ghost stories. The Ghost of Charleston has exclusive privileges to the Unitarian Church Cemetery. We entered into the locked... More

Maybe it was the tour guide, Frank, but the tour was exciting from the beginning to the end. The ghost stories are nice, but you learn a lot of history in the process - and you will not be bored, either. Made me really appreciate Charleston.

We booked the Ghosts of Charleston Tour, as it is the only company that takes you into the old Unitarian Church graveyard. The tour no longer leaves from Waterfront Park, rather we met at and left from somewhere along N Market St. Cody, our guide, was knowledgeable, and did have lots of interesting stories and information about historic Charleston. He... More

My wife and I went on this tour hoping to see something... we most certainly did...I encourage all to bring a camera with a good flash. The tour guide was detailed, educated and well informed about the history and tales of the city. Charleston is a perfect city for this type of tour, dark and the low light settings help... More

We had essentially a private tour--as it was a cold and windy night. But the kids had a lot of fun, and I enjoyed walking through the back alley ways and churchyards after dark. Definitely spooky.

I talked my husband into taking the tour of the Old City Jail. Loved the history surrounding the building and some of the persons imprisoned there. We took an afternoon tour, so was still daylight. I was taking pictures with my cellphone as we were doing the tour. When the tour was over, I was going through the pictures and... More

Recently went on a "ghost" tour with Charleston guide Eric Lavender. As if his knowledge of pirates wasn't enough, his presentation re: the paranormal may convert the most ardent skeptic, namely...me. Not based on theory or conjecture, the "happenings" in and around Charleston are documented. One in particular dating back to only 1939. You will, at best, come away "wondering"... More

We enjoyed our tour and learned new things about Charleston. Mike answered questions and it was evident he was passionate and had researched the stories. Loved that he was a Charlestonian!

Not only was the tour disappointing, but the guide stopped the tour about 6 blocks from where we started. So we were dumped in a strange city, late at night, on empty streets and he pointed the direction for us to walk. Ridiculous.

The only thing that kept this from being a poor experience was that the guide was friendly. There weren't many scary spots to visit other then the grave yard. We were two women traveling alone and we enjoyed the historical experience except when we were left in an unfamiliar area and pointed to the starting point. The guide told us... More
