I talked my husband into taking the tour of the Old City Jail. Loved the history surrounding the building and some of the persons imprisoned there. We took an afternoon tour, so was still daylight. I was taking pictures with my cellphone as we were doing the tour. When the tour was over, I was going through the pictures and... More

Recently went on a "ghost" tour with Charleston guide Eric Lavender. As if his knowledge of pirates wasn't enough, his presentation re: the paranormal may convert the most ardent skeptic, namely...me. Not based on theory or conjecture, the "happenings" in and around Charleston are documented. One in particular dating back to only 1939. You will, at best, come away "wondering"... More

We enjoyed our tour and learned new things about Charleston. Mike answered questions and it was evident he was passionate and had researched the stories. Loved that he was a Charlestonian!

Not only was the tour disappointing, but the guide stopped the tour about 6 blocks from where we started. So we were dumped in a strange city, late at night, on empty streets and he pointed the direction for us to walk. Ridiculous.

After reading some of the owners books, I was really looking forward to this tour. My wife and I have been on many ghost tours up and down the East coast, so we felt comfortable in recommending this tour to our traveling companions. What a mistake.. Lets start with the guide..Austin?? I believe that was his name..a lost and misplaced... More

We booked our tour on line with Tour Charleston. They took our credit card gladly, yet called later to say the tour we signed up for was full. They wanted to book us on an earlier tour, but we declined.. They then booked us for a later date, but this time wrote an e-mail later to tell us they were... More

We enjoyed this tour on our recent trip to Charleston. We have been on many other ghost tours in other cities. Although the stories weren't scary the tour guide was a great story teller in that he was very animated and brought along his ipad to show pictures of places and things that he talked about in his stories. I... More

We enjoyed this tour! I wouldn't say it was above and beyond what I expected, but overall a good experience. Our guide knew his stuff and it was fitting to be able to go into a cemetery. Some of the stops felt a bit rushed, but I don't know if this was because of our guide or because there were... More

So - the Ghost Tours. If you're into this sort of thing, it's probably worth a go. I went with a friend and we always have fun no matter what we do! Would I do it again? - not to so much. The stories and legends they tell are fun, but the tour is a walking tour and they walk... More

the tour was quite informative. I learned things about Charleston but to say it was scary it was not.
