Description: This private 2 hour boat adventure is what Charleston is really all about...
This private 2 hour boat adventure is what Charleston is really all about! I'm a native captain, so we'll glide through the uncrowded backwaters of the most pristine estuaries in the country. We'll learn to harvest oysters, catch shrimp and identify local shore birds. Next, we'll find the Bottlenose Dolphins. Having them swim next to the boat is exciting, but if we find them feeding in the shallows it's spectacular! Our next destination is Morris Island where I'll teach you about its rich Civil War history as well as my own family ties to it. We'll then walk its shores looking for shells and artifacts as the sixth oldest lighthouse in the nation serves as our backdrop! So as you can see we have something for everybody on this trip. The dolphins are always here, the beach is loaded with shells, and if you listen hard enough you just may hear the roar of cannons from the past. So come on and join me! You never know what washed up the night before...

Gresh is one of the best tour guides in Charleston. We have taken several tours with him from when he used to give Morris island lighthouse tours to Eco/dolphin tours. He is knowledgeable and super friendly. You will not be disappointed. Outstanding quality experience.

We had a great time with Captain Grish . The dolphins were amazing, stayed by our boat playing for quite some time. There was even a baby dolphin😊. The other sites were interesting as well. We saw oysters beds up close, fished for some shrimp and then ended on the beach by the lighthouse. Very enjoyable trip! Captain Grish is... More

My family spent several days in Charleston, and this tour was my absolute favorite. From the beginning, we were "hooked". Captain Gresh was friendly and knowledgeable. He showed us how to catch shrimp, found us dolphins, and gave us a complete history of the area. My favorite part by far though was when he took us to the Fort Wagner... More

This was absolutely THE best thing we did in Charleston. Capt. Gresh is native to the area and the knowledge he has of the area is amazing. We learned about shrimping, gathering oysters and saw families of dolphins swimming around our boat. None of this even compared to the Civil War history we heard and experienced on Fort Wagner. Capt... More

This was the highlight of our trip. Despite the 98 degree weather, the day turned out to be wonderful. The breeze from the boat kept us cool and the captain was sensitive to the heat, not stopping the boat for too long. The time spent on the shore was great, exploring the shells, wildlife and light house. I found a... More

Captain Gresh was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to be around. This was our family's first visit to Charleston and of the many tours we reviewed this seemed to be the most inviting. We were very impressed and would recommend this to any family visiting the area.

This was by far the best boat tour. We were in Charleston for vacation and decided to book this boat tour to Morris Island. As we left the dock we immediately saw a group of dolphins including a baby, Gresh stopped and followed them for a while so we were able to watch. Gresh was fantastic and very knowledgeable during... We had never been out to Morris Island and booked this trip based on reviews found on trip advisor. We were not disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Gresh is a great guy, and he grew up here as well so his knowledge is really invaluable. If you're looking for a great trip, blended with a great views, a bit... More

We took our two children, 11 and 9 this morning on the dolphin watching tour and Gresh was fantastic! He took us through the channels out to Morris Is., and gave us all kinds of marine life info but also told us about the amazing history of it as well. Without giving it all away - there are some very... More

I booked this tour for myself, my brother and sister and my niece (15) and nephew (11) who were visiting me from out of town. We had an awesome time! Gresh was a great guide and made sure we saw plenty of dolphins! He helped my nephew look for cool shells and old artifacts on the beach and shared his... More
