We were so glad we did this tour the first day there. It gave us the historical perspective for all the rest to come. I can't say enough good things about Joyce. She was personable, knowledgeable and entertaining. Thanks for a great experience, Joyce!

I couldn't agree more with the other comments regarding Joyce's knowledge, enthusiasm and overall love for Charleston and her job! Not only did I learn so much history of this amazing city, but Joyce showed us how to take beautiful pictures! That was an added bonus!

Independent guide Joyce Weir left Long Island, NY 11 years ago to check out life in Charleston and she never went back. She absolutely loves her adopted home and her 2-hour walking tour is evident of it. Along the way, she'll stop at some of the best spots to take photos, and she'll give tips on how to "frame" the... This was a walking tour that covered the area inside the city walls. She provided you with a good deal of history while showing you ways to get the postcard perfect picture. She even gave tips on using your camera if you needed it. I would love to do her other tour that does the outer part of the city... More

My Wife and I did a tour with Joyce last Thursday morning and had a ball. Her knowledge is amazing but her excitement and enthusiasm is what is really contagious. You would think she is seeing Charleston for the first time not doing tours daily for many years. She shows you amazing sites that you can walk by everyday without... More

I have been on other tours in Charleston on previous visits. I was looking for something a little bit different than I had experienced before. I came across this tour on tripadvisor and it caught my eye. I had planned to do this tour with my husband, but then realized our son, who was vacationing with us, would probably enjoy... More

My wife and I signed up for a tour with Joyce on a Monday morning. We were the only ones that reserved that morning and she did not cancel, which we appreciated. She took us on a walking tour of Downtown Charleston for two hours (unfortunately it was ninety degrees). She took us to places we would not have seen... More

My family had just spent a day in St. Augustine and had taken a few tours while there. We were most delighted with the interactive, personal tour we received while there. We decided to stop in Charleston SC on our way back home to soak up some more rich history but we wanted to try to get that small group... More

We were fortunate to spend more than two hours with Joyce on a walking tour. He knowledge of and passion for Charleston was very evident, and we truly felt that it was the best part of our trip (and that's saying something, when you're talking about a city with as much to offer as Charleston)! She also provided lots of... More
