Joyce had incredible energy and a wealth and depth of historical and anecdotal knowledge that made the tour enjoyable. Learning about the city, seeing the sites, and having practical help on capturing the moments on camera was a great way to spend two hours. I recommend this tour highly, and I further recommend taking the tour early in your trip... More

Joyce was a great tour guide who accommodated our individual interests by changing what we did and saw on the fly as she got to know us better. Private tours are always the way to go and this one was no exception. We only wished we had signed up for the tour on the first day we were there as... More

Joyce knows Charleston like a GPS! She took me to hidden gardens and spent time discussing the smallest details of Charleston's history. I was amazed at all the dates she knew and background on the founding fathers. This was a highlight of my trip and I could not be happier I found her.

Joyce was amazingly knowledgeable and a great sport dealing with 12 guys on a weekend vacation in Charleston. We loved every bit of the tour and had a great time in Charleston. She even recommended a terrific lunch after the tour. Thanks Joyce!!!

Whether or not photography is your thing, this is a tour to do when you're in Charleston. In addition to learning a few photography tricks that I can use outside of Charleston, Joyce has a very good knowledge of her adopted city. Her stories, and her ability to pack history and photography into the tour make it a tour to... More

Joyce is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. She is a pro and a considerate guide. As part of our party arrived a few moments late, she accommodated them by catching them up on a missed site, without slowing the tour or boring the others. Joyce showed us photo shots that captured the historical features of architecture, sometimes reflected in a rain... More

Joyce's walking tours were the best walking tours I have ever taken. She is packed with interesting facts and stories about Charleston's rich history. She takes you on a tour of a city that is like walking through an open air museum with the most perfect guide you could ever dream of having.
