The Schooner Pride is an authentic replica of the 18th century tall ships...

The Schooner Pride is an authentic replica of the 18th century tall ships that once dotted the Charleston Harbor carrying supplies and passengers to and from the plantations. She is USCG certified for up to 49 passengers and is the only 3 mast tall ship that offers public sails in Charleston Harbor. You can sit back and enjoy the the views and gentle ocean breeze or get involved with trimming the sails. We are not a narrated tour, but are happy to answer questions and point out interesting landmarks! Daily afternoon and sunset sails are available March - Early November. Special group sails and private charters available year round!

This big "pirate"-type ship sails around the Charleston Harbor. We had a private event there and it's a unique adventure if you like tall ships with few places to sit. The crew is professional and courteous but not talkative. The boat ride is basically just a big circle aroud the harbor. We took the "sunset" cruise. The food was mediocre... More

Wife and I had a great time relaxing and taking in the sunset of the Schooner Pride. Tour lasted exactly two hours (they have it down) and toured the waters surrounding the peninsula. Note that the tour is NOT narrated so unless you ask questions, you'll have no idea what you are looking at. Lots of chances for pictures and... More

Had a lovely sail. Didn't know exactly what to expect, having never been on a sailboat, but it was great. The captain and the crew of two were very informative and highly skilled. We spent about 2 hrs. sailing in the Charleston Harbor. Actually got to help raise the sails. This was not a small sail boat, 84 feet with... More

We did the Ghost Tour and we were Blown away! The crew was wonderful and it was so fun to listen to ghost stories while in the harbor being able to look at all of the beautiful lights on land. We absolutely had a blast and we plan to be back for more tours! Our Pirate story teller was really... More

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in Charleston. One late afternoon we took the 5:00 wine and food excursion on Schooner Pride and had a wonderful time. The crew was skilled and knowledgeable, and our captain, Sarah, was confident and friendly. Loved the silencing of the motor when we got out into the harbor and the sounds... More

We booked the sunset Charleston harbor cruise and were very surprised with professionalism of the crew. One nice thing was that it was not a narrated cruise. However crew members were always available to answer questions. The exact direction which the sail took was always dependent on the wind, so each trip will be different. Make no mistake, this is... Experienced the afternoon dolphin cruise and the Charleston harbor sail exceeded my expectations. So serene, so beautiful! The crew was extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining! Becca (captain in training), Sarah (captain/lead), and the young man crewmember were very accommodating to questions and each guests' needs. Give them a raise! Don't leave this experience off your Charleston "to do" list!

This is a must do in Charleston. Was wonderful sailing the bay under wind power. So quiet and relaxing. We got an up close view of Fort Sumter on the trip. The captain and crew were great!

We wanted to have a sunset cruise to learn more about Charleston on our first visit. The cruise we wanted didn't run during the week. The crew was kind, informative and knowledgeable, but the cruise didn't show me anything. We motored out, sailed a bit, and just hung out. It was not worth my $100.

Thank you for taking a sail with us aboard the Schooner Pride and for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry that you did not enjoy the sail, but this is not intended to be a narrated tour but a sailing excursion. Our crew is happy to answer any questions and point out landmarks, but they try...
