Description: The Schooner Pride is an authentic replica of the 18th century tall ships...
The Schooner Pride is an authentic replica of the 18th century tall ships that once dotted the Charleston Harbor carrying supplies and passengers to and from the plantations. She is USCG certified for up to 49 passengers and is the only 3 mast tall ship that offers public sails in Charleston Harbor. You can sit back and enjoy the the views and gentle ocean breeze or get involved with trimming the sails. We are not a narrated tour, but are happy to answer questions and point out interesting landmarks! Daily afternoon and sunset sails are available March - Early November. Special group sails and private charters available year round!

We went on the sunset cruise. It was a crew of 3. They were very nice. The captain (Sarah) was welcoming. They answered all questions. I loved the spontaneity of the cruise. We sailed where the current sent us. There were many locals on our trip. Many of whom went on the cruise multiple times. Most people brought snacks. They... More

Nice relaxing cruise especially when the ship is under full sail. We went on the two hour dolphin cruise in the afternoon and did not see any dolphins. This is not a narrated cruise but if you do have questions the crew will answer them. The Captain was great with the young children on the ship. The ship will go... More

Visited with my husband and 6-year-old daughter. Great trip, sailed out under the Arthur Ravenel Jr Bridge and back to south of Battery Park. Total sailing time was 2 hours as promised in the brochure. Anyone who wanted to help raise the sails was allowed to, from adults to small children. Capital and crew were very nice, professional, and offered... More

Got to go on a Sunday evening 2-hour boat ride around Charleston. Very relaxing. Crew was professional.

Watch the weather forecast closely to be sure they get enough wind. Otherwise you'll be tooling around by motor and miss the experience of being under full sail. We hit it just right and had a perfect evening. I recommend making friends fast and sitting together for conversation and drinks (which are offered by the staff). Sit just behind the... More

We went on a dolphin cruise we had a blast saw several dolphin. The staff was excellent, answering any questions we had, We enjoyed our time aboard the schooner pride. We also knew we had a great captain as it was an extremely choppy day and she excelled at making our trip smooth ! Overall two thumbs up !

It's a beautiful boat...and, when the weather is right...what could be better than spending the sunset hours afloat? The wind was good, so it was nice to watch the sails go up. Also, there are lots of great views from on the water, such a different perspective of Charleston. The boat itself was clean, including the head (bathroom). I will... More

We're locals, but had never sailed the Schooner Pride. We were looking forward to our sunset sail very much but it ended up being an even better experience than we expected. The Captain and Crew were very professional, but extremely fun and friendly. My husband and 12 year old son helped raise the main sail and later in the trip,... More

The sunset sail was awesome. Three phenom ladies handled the ship and their passengers with care. Great cruise with great views of historic Charleston and the harbor. Would go again in a minute.

We booked this sunset sailboat tour as soon as we booked our trip to the beautiful city of Charleston. We royally screwed things up, still had our clocks set to local time and had a hard time finding the wharf. We got there minutes late, but the ad said the sailboat always leaves right on time. They were so nice... More
