We went on a sunset cruise the crew were wonderful, knowledgeable, helpful and made it a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend!
I bought the Living Social deal for the Sunset Tour and set it for 11/9/13. The staff was very helpful in getting us seated and informed about all of the things happening on the boat. Due to the fact that we decided to take the trip in November, it got a little chilly as we watched the sunset. The staff... More
The Schooner Pride was a little more expensive, but somuch fun! It didn't hold as many people as some of the other tour type boats (nice!), and they allowed some people to participate in raising and lowering the sails (optional). Would do it again in a heartbeat!
We did not choose a good day to sail and in hind sight would not have gone on the day we did. We have done schooner sails in Newport and Annapolis and had terrific times and we were really looking forward to another exciting afternoon on the water. It was not an exciting time. The motor was used to power... More
We booked the sunset cruise a couple of hours before setting sail. What a wonderful way to spend the evening! The ship is beautiful, and the crew sails her with obvious practiced ease. It was especially fun when they called on volunteers to help hoist the sails! Snacks and drinks are available on board, and again, the crew is efficient... More
I have done the Schooner Pride's sunset sail twice now and both times were so enjoyable. Sailing out on the harbor with the sun setting behind Charleston's skyline of church steeples is truly an amazing experience. Both times we went were in October and the weather was perfection, it is a great way to wind down after a day of... More
We did not want another "talking head" history tour. We love the history and enjoyed it but we wanted to experience the harbor, weather and discuss sailing. This was perfect. The captain and ship mates were willing to discuss not only the history but many of their experiences. The wind was not good for sailing but still enjoyed the evening.... More
Everything was just as described online. What it is: peaceful, scenic, and enjoyable. What it is not: a narrated tour, nor suitable for children. Have a beverage, enjoy the sights, make a new friend or two. It's a great 2-hours of relaxation after a busy day of shopping and sight-seeing!
We sailed on the Schooner Pride while visiting Charleston, it was a very relaxing ride and the views of Charleston were amazing. If you're looking for a lot of historical information this is not the boat ride to take, the crew will answer any questions you have but they tell you right up front that they are not there to... My husband surprised me with a sunset cruise on the Schooner Pride and to top it off, the cruise had a wine tasting that evening. It was a beautiful evening on the bay and the crew was very friendly and informative. This was not a narrative trip but they were very happy to answer any questions you had. It was... More
