There are lots of options in Charleston to get out on the water. We chose the Schooner Pride and had a great voyage in the bay. Nice boat and crew. Very relaxing on the sunset cruise.

The Schooner Pride, is a 3 sail tall sail boat. It is non narrated tour. The captain and crew of 2 will answer questions you have. It started out by motor, then we raised the sails. You can help raise the sails (or not). My wife and I raised the main sail, was fun to do. Then the motor is... More

We had a wonderful time on our sunset sail with the Schooner Pride in the Charleston Harbor. Very relaxing and not "touristy" at all. The crew was fun and knowledgeable and knew when to interact and when to just let you enjoy the beauty of the sail. Seeing Charleston from the water is a unique perspective that I highly recommend.... More

Had a great sunset sail in the Charleston Harbor on the Schooner Pride. This was the end of a busy sightseeing day in Charleston. It was just the thing we needed to relax and see the Charleston from the harbor.

This is not a good sight-seeing trip, but it IS a wonderful experience to sail on a nice size vessel enjoying the water, breeze, and view the general area of the Charleston Harbor. You are too far away from most landmark areas to really get a good look at them, so this trip for me was just to sit back... More

We took the 1pm sail on a Sunday the 20 of July. Boy, this was a great time to do it as there were only 12 of us (plus 3 crew members). They say right up front this is NOT a narrated tour-& that was fine with us. They also don't have a set itinerary-it sails where the wind &... More

We had to reschedule our trip from a previous visit to Charleston, but it proved to be worth it! The crew members were wonderful and answered any questions asked. Do not expect a narrated tour, but do enjoy a nice relaxing sunset!

We took a sunset cruise on the Schooner Pride and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. The captain and her crew were very professional and personable. They patiently fielded every question we asked about the boat, sailing terminology and the landmarks we saw around the harbor. It is not a tour, because the wind dictates where and how far you can... Pleasant and very easy to do-- just purchase tickets online, get to the harbor site (we took a taxi from our hotel) walk down a sidewalk to the schooner, and the mates check you in. It really took just a minute to board the boat. Once on the boat, there's not a lot of walking around, just find a comfortable... More

Of course it is easier to have an enjoyable ride on a schooner when there are good winds, which is what we had. But we had a very enjoyable and relaxing cruise, one of the definitive highlights of our vacation. The crew was very nice and accommodating. But more importantly, The Pride was terrific. It was very relaxing and worth... More
