I took the Thriller boat tour on Sunday afternoon, October 25, and had a blast. Despite some last minute cancellations that day, the owners Barbara and Mark were gracious enough to run the tour for a small crowd. Barbara, a fellow NJ native who grew up near my home town, strikes an excellent balance in her narration, providing enough historical... more

Went on a beautiful and uncrowded Saturday afternoon in October. The ownership couple (Capt. Mark and Allison) were very competent and quite pleasant; her narration was very good and not overdone like some tours. The boat is aptly named the Thriller. The views, the speed, and the combinationn of the harbor and Atlantic were a unique experience. Will take this... more

At first, my husband and I were kind of hesitant about spending close to $60 on a boat tour, but I would say it was the highlight of my trip. We were very lucky to have a smaller group on our boat, and we were free to move around. The hosts were terrific, and they gave just enough information. The... more

We have kids who are 11 and 9 and this was just an ideal tour experience for them. The boat, of course, is fun, especially when you get out into the Atlantic waters. The couple that runs the tour are engaging and friendly, especially to kids. And while they make no bones about their brevity in describing the historical landmarks,... more

The Thriller Charleston boat ride is just plain fun. With 1000 hp engines, the boat goes really fast. The water sprays in your face. You get a "new hairdo" from the wind. There's fun music blasting from the speakers. I really liked the "closeup" of Morris lighthouse. The crew were as nice as can be, very friendly. To anyone considering... more

We were in Charleston last week for an event with our clients. We were supposed to kick off the meeting with a private Thriller boat tour that ended at the dock of a local seafood restaurant. Unfortunately, it poured rain that day, so the boat tour was postponed. Luckily, the next day was beautiful so we were able to fit... more

The Thriller is a little bit of everything in Charleston. You get the history combined with the fun of the speed boat and great music. This is the only tour that goes to the Morris Island lighthouse and you et to see the location of all 5 forts including Fort Moultrie, Castle Pickney and Summter. My boyfriend has never been... more

My husband & I took the slow boat out to Ft Sumter one day, then took the Thriller ride the following day. We are glad we took the slow boat first, or we'd have been disappointed by the slow ride! : ) Thoroughly enjoyed it.. great hosts, great people around us... if it was closer (we live in Phoenix, mind... more

The Thriller was the best thing to do in Charleston. We had a great time and really enjoyed to do something different. If you sit in the back you will get wet, but well worth it. Only down side wish they would have stopped for Dolphin photos. more
