My husband and I took a last minute trip to SC. We were so pleased to find an affordable course with such short notice. We played twilight and it was a perfect time of day for play. The course is beautiful and the staff was friendly. I've only been playing golf for a few years but, I found this to... More

We played at Hilton Head National today and what a gem of a course. Course was in immaculate condition. The best condition of any played this summer (including Harbor Town which we played Monday). Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pace of play was brisk. A course we will be returning to every year.

This is just a good golf course at a reasonable cost. The Gary Player design is fair and not tricked up. A real golf course, not a condo golf course. Greens are not overly challenging as they tend to be very flat. But you need to be hitting the ball straight or you can get in trouble in a hurry.

Excellent layout and very good conditioned fairways and rough. Super friendly staff. Greens are still recovering from the earlier aeration, but puttable. If the greens were better it would be a solid 5.

There are a lot of golf courses on Hilton Head and this being our first trip along with playing with a beginner golfer, I was concerned about finding just the right course and this was it. The course is not too hard and not too easy, so just right for a wide range of golfers. They have rangers all over... More

This course was very nice. The staff was helpful and it is a great course for the money. I would definitely recommend. They had aerated the greens a few weeks before we were there, so they were a little bumpy, but we knew that going in, so not a problem. Definitely a good course to try when in Hilton Head.

For a public course this was a hidden gem, although it's named Hilton Head National it's actually located in Bluffton, SC. It's only a short drive from the island and worth the drive. The grounds were nicely kept for a public course. There are no houses on the course, the fairways are open enough for beginner golfers and paths are... More

Played here on the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. The course was in great shape, nice driving range and an extremely friendly staff. A person at the first tee takes your picture and offers it to you but no pressure at all at the turn to number 10. Was excellent group photo and photo of your swing.... More

For the second year in a row, Hilton Head National ranked at the top of the heap in terms or both service and course conditions. Our visit in early May both this year and last found the course to be very playable and the staff's attitude was quite welcoming. The best greens available (at a very reasonable price) for this...
