Recently, the course won the prestigious "Best Public Golf Course" award from Lowcountry Monthly Magazine.  An honor the team at Old Carolina is very proud to have earned and received.Through hard work and perseverance the course has been transformed to a beautifully manicured gem that is alive with play. Once the course received its due recognition, it wasn't long until it was filled with daily players eager to experience the newly revitalized championship links. The challenge of the design coupled with beautiful southern scenery make Old Carolina Golf Club a must play for any golfer seeking a unique playing experience. « less

This course is in very bad condition.....and not worth the $15 we spent to pay via a Deal Saver. We played only 3 holes. I would not recommend this course to anyone!

If you are looking to play a quick 9 holes somewhere that is inexpensive this place is very suitable. We almost didn't play at all on our trip because every other place was so expensive. If you are a super serious golfer this might not be your place though.

This club needs serious help. We were a party of 4 and only played this course because we couldn't get in anywhere else in Hilton Head. Now we know why it was available. The whole course is in poor condition particularly the greens. And the restrooms at hole 6/7 are disgusting. One of our carts was running out of power... More

This place is a joke. People are rude and pretentious for the worst golf course I have EVER seen. Don't waste your time or money on this place.

We have golfed here in the past and enjoyed it but this time the course was in terrible condition. At first we thought it was us because we had not golfed in about a month but soon realised that the fairways were almost non existent and the greens were the worst we'd ever encountered. The staff were not their usual... More

Had the pleasure of being invited by a new found friend while staying on Hilton Head Island at the Marriott Grand Ocean to come along for the ride when he was playing at the Old Carolina Golf Links. This course had a great abundance of nature which included gators, turtles, and some type of squirrels that had masks. This was... More

Can not believe this course is even open. Fairways with little to no grass. No dirt so even a good drive in fairway got no roll. Hitting off fairway was like hitting out of sand. Don't waste your time or money

Man I was really disappointed to find out they have changed to a 9 hole course. Nice but just not the same as it was before

Played today with a friend for the first time at this course. Both of us were amazed at how this place could be open based on the horrible conditions of the course. All part of we're bad; tee boxes, fairways and especially the greens. Will never go back there again.

Greens are in poor shape. I am rehabilitating by swing, so it was perfect because it was not much money to test my swing. Great for families and people learning the game. Staff was very helpful.
