Located just off Hilton Head Island, this is a challenging links course. If you love hitting shots over marsh lands, you will have the opportunity on several holes here. The par 3 signature 8th hole is to an island green (knowing your clubs is an absolute must on this hole). Elsewhere pot bunkers will meet you at several greens. The... More

This is an absolutely beautiful golf course located right off of Hilton Head Island. The course is a links style course with the first 7 holes being fairly wide open and then it becomes more of a shot makers course. There are many holes on the marsh and are as picturesque as any holes I have ever seen at the... More

This a very nice golf course. Five tees to accommodate any skill player; well maintained, reasonably priced. But it is short on amenities -- little water on the course, no towels on carts, signs insisting that any thing to eat or drink must be purchased from the dining room. For a fairly hefty fee of $60-70, I would expect a... More

Thank you for playing golf at Old South. We usually do have a beverage cart on the course each day for refreshments, however you may have played on a day when there was not one due to weather or a staffing issue. The clubhouse is easily accessible after the first five holes and then again between holes 9 and 10... More

Beautiful wetlands setting is the signature of Old South. Close to Hilton Head Island and easy to reach. Booked on GolfNow and got a good rate. Friendly reception from staff. Fairways and greens in good condition.

If your are planning to golf in Hilton Head, you must drive off the island and play here. I have been enjoying this course for 15 years.

My wife and I played Old South yesterday and everything about this place was first rate. The course was in excellent condition although some of the tee blocks need to be levelled. It's a good test of your golf game with a number of forced carries over the salt marsh so pick your tee block wisely. The proshop staff, the... More

Nice course in great shape. Very friendly staff and a good price. Will play this course again whenever we are in the Hilton Head area. No wonder they keep winning awards like Low Country Golf course of the year !

Course was well maintained. Grass was green. Has plenty of water, marshes and hazards that make it challenging for experienced golfers but not too difficult for novices. Staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to help.

Serene setting, wide fairways, large greens, good mix of water and sand hazards to keep the round interesting and par for any course, a gator or two. As a public course, it plays and feels similar to some private courses up north or in other parts of the south. Great warm up areas, with both a driving range and pitch... More

My family and I recently played Old South on our vacation to Hilton Head. A word of warning: My family and I are average golfers and have never played private courses. I thought that Old South was quite frankly a top notch course. It was in great condition (though it was cart path only due to the thunderstorms the week... More
