We happen to be staying in Beaufort during the Water Festival. We had the best time down on the waterfront. It is so peaceful and beautiful I could sit there for days. It was so clean even with all the people that were there.

Gorgeous view and park setting to spend a few hours with the family. Park is well maintained and walking distance to town shops and restaurants.

Not quite a destination, but a great place to relax or take a short stroll. Superb children's playground by the bridge. Easy access to the public parking area (we appreciated no fee for handicapped with sticker) and all the restaurants (Plums recommended) and shops on Bay Street. Very scenic and quiet when no festivals or other events happenning. Good place... More

This park is right on the water with many cafes and restaurants backing onto it. There is a well kept grass area with many wooden swings facing the water, if you are too hot and fed up shopping nip down tomthe park as there tends to be a breeze coming from the water down here.

You can see fishing boats, kayakers, yachts and the bridge. There are many swings to sit and be lazy and people watch. The playground is amazing and the waterfront is full of restaurants and the wonderful coffee shop, Common Ground. The ONLY negative is that the public restrooms at the marina and playground were closed after about 6:00. That is... More

We visited this park to watch the July 4th fireworks. The park is clean and comfortable but why were the bathrooms locked during an event??? The men's room was locked at 8:30pm (fireworks were at 9:30) but the ladies room was wide open. Other than shops, there were no other visible public bathrooms. Overall the park is nice and is... Congratulations to Beaufort for preserving this waterfront area for the enjoyment of everyone rather than making $$$ through development. Delightful riverfront park with brick walkways, swings overlooking the river, access to many of the restaurants on Bay Street, with outdoor seating. Centerpiece of downtown.

Wonderful playground for the youngsters, beautiful historic homes for visitors and restaurants for the hungry. It's a lovely place to take a walk and enjoy the views. Just a block over from the main shopping street.

what a great waterfront park! a lot of the resturants have patios that face the park and there is a grassy area and a walkway. You can watch the boats go by, enjoy the sunset or simply people and dog watch on one of the many benches or swings located throughout. A nice place to be anytime of the day.
