My beau and I attended the Laying of the Wreaths ceremony. Awesome. I enjoyed the speakers and the strong military, veterans, and motorcycle presence. We took pictures and helped lay several wreaths in this large cemetery. A very moving afternoon.

As with every other national cemetery, the Beaufort National Cemetery is sad and a sobering reminder of the price of war. Beautifully maintained and a silent tribute to the men resting there.

Very organized and clean. There is a history to the the layout that I will not reveal. A must see for all Americans. Please open the info box and get the layout of how it is set up and who is buried there before you walk it. And please , do not think that you are SO special that you... More

This is a place you should see and see just how many of our military members have fought and died for this country. It is a very humbling place and one that will give anyone pause. It is kept up very well with graves that date back to the 1800's.

every American should visit our national cemeteries to pay homage to those who defended our liberties. president Lincoln was involved with the creation of this hallowed ground. some parts of the cemetery are divided by past prejudices from the civil war. black vets have a section, union soldiers another. it is amusing that the confederate grave stones have a point... This was a well kept cemetery. I totally enjoyed photographing this historic cemetery. We went around the 4th of July and the flags were flying on the graves. It showed the true meaning of patriotism.

This is a beautifully maintained national cemetery. The live oaks with Spanish moss were striking against the perfect white rows of grave markers of all of those who were veterans or gave their lives serving our country.

I did not have a lot of time to visit this cemetery, and the day was cold, windy, and cloudy, but I am glad that I stopped and took a walk around. It is not a big cemetery, but it is laid out well, and there is a map of the graves in a small white box outside the office... More

I'm always amazed by the loss of life when gravestones are played out with such uniformity. Was unable to find the Massachusetts 54th which was my draw in stopping in.

We never cease to be amazed about the sacrifice our military personnel make for our country. All National cemeteries are special. The Beaufort one is no exception. Well maintained.
