What can I say. Another national cemetery. Very serene. So sad. If your in Beaufort, a must visit. Not huge like Arlington.

This was an old cemetery with many civil war graves. It was so amazing to look at the long line of graves and imagine so many young lives lost. We were fortunate to have a guide who was telling a lot of the background. I recommend this as a part of any tour.

I love Civil War history. This cemetery has vets from many wars. It's so peaceful and pretty. As always in SC in the summer, bring bug spray.

Grounds are well keep. Lot of history is held here in Low Country. One of the best National Cemetery hands down.

Quite interesting cemetery. We just happened to be there Memorial Weekend and the Marines had put the american flags at all the headstones, It was so beautiful. I really don't even know what to say about a National Cemetery. It's so solemn and quiet and peaceful. R.I.P. to all our service personnel.

Beautifully layed out. We didn't find the civil war section - the bathrooms are locked and we had to..."go".... so we left before seeing it all. We were there on a Saturday and locked public bathrooms are not good.

The cemetery is the resting place of soldiers from as far back as the civil war and maybe even the revolution. It's a solemn place full of rich history and an important part of the town for local people. If you come to check it out, do the locals a favor and keep your kids under control and behave respectfully.

This is a very quiet place. So many military personnel are buried here. It was laid out in a wheel pattern which was quite interesting. There is a directory if you are looking to locate an individual. It really is beautiful and is a reminder of the many people who have sacrificed their lives for us.

The National Cemetery in Beaufort is a classic military cemetery with graves marked with war dead from both Northern and Southern units from the Civil War. I was surprised by the large number of unknown soldiers (174) buried here who have never been identified.
