My wife and I went into the National cemetery just to see what was inside. We were overwhelmed by the gravesites and tombstones. It was basically a mini Arlington Gardens. It was very well manicured and very peaceful for anyone visiting loved ones. If you go thru the brick fence in the back you discover a whole new section with... More

Their are around 13,000 grave sites. Mostly Military personal rhat died in battle. Died for our freedom during the Civil war through the war in Afghanistan. Additionally, their are many grave sites of spouses as well. Difficult to take it all in. We stopped and thanked God for these men and women.

My father is buried here as well as my son's grandparents. The view here is amazing and the respect shown to our military brings tears to my eyes every time I enter these sacred grounds

It was laid out like half of a paddle wheel with lovely small granite markers. Some of the tours available will take you through the cemetery and provide history.

Bravo to those that served - and their families who supported them. This restful, well-maintained cemetery is a place of honor.
