The magnitude of the sacrifice people have made for the United States is on display. The number of simple grave markers for persons who have served is overwhelming and go back to the time of the Civil War to current times. The grounds are wonderfully maintained and cared for. Recommend anyone who visits Beaufort go to the National Cemetery!

Easy to find. I used it often as my landmark while driving around town. Beautiful old grace markers.

You must take a stroll down the oyster shell paved roads while in Beaufort. My wife and I rode bikes through out the town and had to pay our respects to our fallen soldiers. The true heroes. All gave some, some gave all. Goosebumps just typing this...

You drive in and are in awe of so many grave sites. It is so beautiful, respectful, quiet, and breath taking, that so many men and women gave their lives for our country. It is a mix of all the wars. It wakes you to the fact of how many wars and how much death our country has seen. A... More

was glad we went to visit the Cemetery. There are graves from Civil War to Modern day veterans buried here. There are maps at the entrance parking that detail the layout and some notorious veterans buried there. Please go pay your respects if possible.

I stumbled upon this cemetery when I had to turn around. I was so lucky to have done this. This cemetery is beautiful, quiet, peaceful, well maintained, and a true tribute to our fallen heroes of this great nation.

This National Cemetery like all Military cemetery's is really well maintained. Just a beautiful place to spend a little time and reflect on all those folks who gave so much for our great country.

This is a beautiful setting for a day or an afternoon. It is laid out in sections. Very humbling to think of all who gave their lives so that we can enjoy the freedoms we enjoy today. Beautiful decorated with all the flags.

Very impressive and as African Americans, we did not know that former African American soldiers were buried there after the civil war. A very moving experience and totally unexpected.
