It was laid out like half of a paddle wheel with lovely small granite markers. Some of the tours available will take you through the cemetery and provide history.

Bravo to those that served - and their families who supported them. This restful, well-maintained cemetery is a place of honor.

Beautiful. Wonderful staff. Well maintained. We were there to bury my mother in law and the staff was very helpful.

A beautifully kept National Cemetery for our military deceased. Each tombstone is placed in such a manner to form a full circle when viewed from the distance The spouse is buried there as well,

I have been here many times saying goodbye to friends. It will be where my wife and I spend eternity. For those of you coming to Beaufort, it is a beautiful place to visit full of history. Just for instance, many of the 54th Mass Black Troopers from "Glory" rest here. There is also a very nice Confederate section and... More

One of our oldest National Cemeteries that has a very interesting Confederate section located in it.Also has an "In Memory Section" for those who never had a proper burial. Included here is Confederate Rudolph Ritter, listed as missing, but actually died in captivity. There are also a number of non military headstones of people who died prior to the Civil War.There is... Beautifully kept national cemetery. Worth a drive through because there aren't many of these around and it makes you think about our armed services and the men and women who gave their time. It isn't big and the grounds are pretty and, of course, very well kept.

We happened on the cemetery when we were trying to turn around. It was beautifully maintained so we took our time driving through. Any cemetery that bears the bodies of our deceased military is sobering to me. So glad we found it.

The cemetery is a short stroll from the waterfront. We happened to visit on Memorial Day Weekend. All the flags, the graves, the grounds, were perfectly manicured. It was an honor visiting. Thank you to all our servicemen & women.
