JUSTINE THE GYPSY! RIDE HER CARRIAGE! Every time we have guest come into town we ALWAYS bring them for a carriage tour. I have done this well over 10 times in the past 3 years and god knows my wife has done it more than I have. We have rode with both companies and have experienced the worst of worst... More

Our group debated whether or not it would be worth taking a carriage ride around Beaufort and decided to go ahead and try it. I am glad we did. We caught the last one for the day and were treated to a fun way to learn more about Beaufort. The driver was patient with his horse, the guests questions, and... More

We were on our way to Charleston from Savannah and decided to stop by and see Beaufort. I am so glad we did, this was a beautiful town with so much history and beautiful homes. Our tour guide (we forget her name, but she is married to a Marine & has a 2 yr old baby) she was awesome, very... More

The carriage driver was very knowledgeable about the area and gave a lot of insight into the history of the homes and past notables in the city of Beaufort. Our driver had a pleasant sense of humor and made for a fun experience. The ticket seller left a lot to be desired in customer service. He was rude and not... More

It was a rainy and cool day but our tour guide made us forget about the weather a took us back to Beaufort during the Civil War Era. The history, homes and people were discussed in detail with interesting facts, stories and even humor. Our guide was enthusiastic, friendly and always open to our many questions. The horse drawn carriage made... More

We are from Asheville NC. and visited beaufort SC. on a hot august day. We always take a tour and did an early tour with sea island carriage co. Our guide was Bud and he was very accomplished at his job. His voice was clear, and he had a very good sense of humor. Bud really liked his horse named... More

This was such a relaxing and fun way to learn about the Antebellum history of Beaufort. We had a wonderful time on the tour. Bill was our guide and was quite knowledgeable.

This is a great option for a wonderful overview of this historical little town. Book it ahead of time, as the carriages can fill up. The tour guide is knowledgeable, but there is so much history to absorb, it can boggle the mind. Take a camera and make sure you sit on the outside seats of the carriage, otherwise you... More

Bud was our guide and seemed quite knowledgeable about the Beaufort area in general and several of the historic buildings and sites in particular. We found the history quite interesting. It seems that both carriage companies cover the same [or a very similar] route since they're controlled by the city. We were on a red carriage [Sea Island]; the Southurn... More

Debbie was our guide and we were the only 2 in the carriage. Merlin was our horse. Yes, we have a quirky sense of humor and thought Debbie was great! I mean, think of all the information she has to memorize and spit out X number of times per day! Kudos for a job well done, Debbie and Merlin! Beaufort... More
