We were in Beaufort on a warm ( relatively ) sunny day in January and like the reviewer below, were lucky enough to have Charlotte as our guide and Jake as our "engine". We couldn't have had a better time. The horses are well loved and beautiful, Charlotte has a knowledge and charm that will cast a spell as she... More

Jake, the beautiful horse pulling our fully loaded carriage, and Charlotte, our tour hostess, stole the show. Stealing the show in Beaufort isn't easy because it is a beautiful town with so, so much history. It turns out that Jake has a mind of his own in that if he decides to stop under a beautiful Spanish moss covered tree... More

I learned about Spanish moss, hush puppies, and houses. there was history being taught and I have a video so I can find out more info as I need it lol. our guide was a great one and was very easy to relate to. had a wonderful time and will be doing this again if I ever make it back... More

I learned a lot being a new resident of Beaufort by taking this tour. The history runs deep here, and the tour guide couldn't take a breath because of all the history he tries to relay in the 45 minute tour. I highly advise taking the tour because it slows you down to really look at all of the sights... More

We went on a tour this afternoon with our 2 small children and it was a great time! The tour guide was very good and we learned so much about the history of this beautiful town. The kiddos loved the horse, Paul Newman :) I highly recommend it to people who are headed this way!

My wife and I had never done a carriage ride before and definitely loved this one. They take care of their horses extremely well and all the horses are retired Amish haul horses who are used to pulling a lot more weight. Our horse Rocky was so good he did not need a bit and had the route memorized perfectly.... More

We read about this tour upon arriving to Cuthberth House Inn. Tara from the Inn called and got us our tickets and was such a breeze. We arrived early and walked around their parking lot and the dock while seeing the carriages come and go. Our buggy was only for 4 people and it was like having our own designated... More

We had the opportunity to have a tour of historic Beaufort in an open carriage pulled by the handsome Jake, who obviously loves his job, as much as Charlotte the tour guide loves Beaufort and Jake! We were treated to details about the families and the beautiful antebellum homes that fill downtown Beaufort, one of the towns not burned by... More

A horse drawn ride slows you down long enough to really see the beautiful old buildings of Beaufort. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. we love taking these tours!
