We had Larry for our guide and Rocky for our ride. It was 50 minutes of delightful history as we slowly rode through the historic district of downtown Beaufort, SC. Larry did a wonderful job of incorporating some humor in his presentation of the fascinating history of the city. He was very personable and thoughtfully attended to our questions. It... More

We really enjoyed the tour. It was a 100 degree day so we were the last of the day. They put the horses first n dont worry about not making money, which impressed me. Our guide was Andrea n the horse was Newton. She was very informative and discussed lots of history, which was impressive because she was a transplant... More

It was a cloudy, chilly day when we went for our buggy ride, but Jake made it very enjoyable. The tour is well worth the price. Our guide ( I believe her name was Charlotte) was very nice and gave us lots of good, interesting info about Beaufort. Would definitely recommend this attraction.

This 50 min tour is definitely worth the money! You'll learn about Beaufort's history, architecture styles, fun facts about movies filmed locally, and get a good feel for the city's layout. Recommend doing this tour early in your trip so that you can see where you'd like to go back and spend more time. Loved it!

This carriage tour is a must do when visiting Beaufort. Yes you can see the houses if you drive around on your own but you won't get the history and personal stories about each house and the town. Our guide Charlotte was very informative and made us feel very comfortable. Jake the horse added to the experience. I didn't realize... More

I recommend this carriage tour, especially if Bill is your driver and tour guide. The staff is courteous. Bill is very educated and informed about Beaufort history. He carefully explains details that other tour guides might miss. He adds a lot of flavor to this charming community.

Have been to many coastal towns in SC but never Beaufort. My mistake. Beaufort is a most charming, historic town dating back to the early 1700's. The tour was informative, thorough and comfortable. Our guide was well versed in the local history and we were spellbound during the entire tour. Word of wisdom, don't sit in the front bench directly... More

We had never even heard of Beaufort, SC until a day ago! Someone suggested it, and we found it to be a charming little town on the water. We took the Rose carriage tour and were so glad we did. Our guide, Charlotte, was a native and exuded Southern hospitality and charm, telling a myriad of stories about the houses,... More
