I have been to France and Belgium and this is some of the best chocolate ever. Even the people at work thought the dark chocolate was better than Belgium's dark chocolate. If only they had orangettes... More

I can not suggest strongly enough that you buy some of their chocolate while you are anywhere near Beaufort. The milk chocolate toffee was unbelievable. I wish I had bought more than just one bag. If you like Heath candy bars, you will LOVE their toffee. Their Easter candy was 40% off so we lucked up. Thanks to John Sharp... More

This chocolate shop is a few blocks from Bay Street, but you'll need to walk to work off the calories! Very good chocolate and reasonably priced. A definite stop while you are in Beaufort. More

The wonderful chocolate aroma hits you squarely in the face as you open the door. You just want to close your eyes and inhale. We walked to the shop from the waterfront on a beautiful day. We made our favorite selections from the tasty treats in the glass cases. I tried several dark chocolate cherries, dark chocolate marshmallow, and dark... More

This is where his chocolates came from in the movie Forrest Gump. The aromas gets your mouth watering even from the parking lot. All kinds of chocolates, goodies covered with chocolate and can even buy there to make your own candies. More

The prices are what I'd expect in a touristy town. It's a bit pricey, but buying chocolate is a worthwhile vacation indulgence. I did not care for their chocolate fudge. It wasn't creamy and tasted a bit too bitter and granular for my taste. But I loved the coconut clusters, tiger paws (otherwise known as a turtle with chewy caramel),... More

Beaufort is a beautiful old town to visit but stay away from The Chocolate Tree candy store. The quality is poor for what they charge. We bought over $60.00 worth and I can honestly say that we did not enjoy any of it. We have a wonderful chocolate store in our home town of Daytona Beach called Angell and Phelps... More

With EASTER right around the corner, what a delight to have visited this shop. We purchased at least 10 chocolate BUNNIES,large & small for our family back in Florida. My husband thought I was nuts for carrying it all back in our carryon luggage, but if you could have heard the accolades from all...wow. The shop was filled with that... More

We wandered into Beaufort on a recent stay at Fripp Island on a cloudy non beach day; just looking to kill some time, we stopped at the visitors bureau and picked up alot of brochures for things to do in the area. My Brother-n-law found the chocolate tree so we ventured in. This place has GREAT chocolate; my sister and... More

You can get a voucher for a free chocolate sample at the visitor center. I'm not talking about a small sample either. I guarantee you will buy more it is that good. A very creamy chocolate and well done with lots of choices. It is worth the stop, bring your wallet. More
