We picked up some truffles, licorice bridge mix, and peanut brittle. Staff was very pleasant and greeted us. You won't be able to walk out without finding a delightful item to purchase.

We waited for them to open on our way out of town. It was well worth the wait. There is something for everyone in there. If you make your own, they have supplies for you. If you are like me and just love chocolate, there is any and all kinds, white, milk, dark...and flavors....don't get me started...just to breathe the... More

Every time we drove by, we had to stop. The salt water caramel is to die for and the taffy isn't far behind. We thoroughly enjoyed the treats that we got while there. We intend to order online now that we are back home.

When we are in town, this is a normal stop for us. The white chocolate popcorn is to die for. The place is a tad pricey, but not so much that I will stop going. Staff could try smiling once in a while as well.

When you enter all you smell is chocolate. Most of the items are made there. This is the place where they got the box of chocolates for Forrest Gump. We got the turtles, scotties, sand dollars and some bridge mix. All are great. Still can smell the store. Its located on the main road just before you get to the... More

The service was terrible!! The young man working there was a jerk! He skipped my mother 4 times in line and then argued with the other employee in front of all the customers. Then when I complained to the manager, he blew us off saying it was closing time and the guy was stressed. Never again!

This was actually my second trip to the Chocolate Tree. We stumbled on it last year when we took a trip to Florida, but did some sight seeing in Beaufort. Once again I was not disappointed. It has the best salted caramels one can as for... just think about them makes me want to get in the car! Though, I... More

The Chocolate Tree is a locally owned-operated candy store. It is a joy to go there (ahhh! the wonderful, rich smell of chocolate when you walk in the door!) and a great place to get special gifts for a variety of occasions. All the chocolate candies (and some others -- like their fantastic panucce (sp?!)) are made on-site and the... More

We tried their dark chocolate "bark" in a few different versions: plain, cashew, almond. Also the turtles for my friend she said was really good. Also chocolate pretzels a must have. So many choices. Additionally the staff member who helped us after warming up to us she was our "free" sanddollar chocolate coupons received from the marina (only reason we... More

Always a stop, or two, sometimes three, on our trips to Beaufort. A great place for souvenirs and snacks. You have to be careful not to leave your goodies in the car because they will melt quickly.
