This is my mother's favorite chocolate. After visiting the shop I now know why. The chocolate is delicious, and their fillings are to die for. Really. And the shop has a wonderful ambiance. And the people are welcoming and delightful. No one in our family can go to Beaufort without getting some chocolate for my mother. I also bought chocolate... More

If you go nowhere else while in Beaufort - go here! Several local shopkeepers recommended a stop at The Chocolate Tree and they were right! The truffles, candies and pecans were to literally die for. I've had chocolates from all over the world, but these are right up there at the top. The Amaretto truffle was delicious....

The variety is incredible & even a large selection of sugar free! Smiling faces on everyone entering & leaving The Chocolate Tree. So happy we heard about The Chocolate Tree on Janet's walking tour. Stopped in for a dark choc sand dollar on the tour then we walked back after early dinner before they closed at 6 to take peanut... More

One of life's greatest pleasures used to be a caramel apple from the Chocolate tree in October. What happened??? Not the gooey, sweet, stick to your teeth caramel that used to be made here. I bought two today after the Beaufort Shrimp Festival and was very, very disappointed. After a couple of bites there was a greasy after effect like... More

Been coming to Beaufort for nearly 20 years, every visit we stop at the chocolate tree. Never fails to deliver a treat! Great candy, a tad pricey, but hey, your on vacation, splurge a little. Stop in just to smell even, if you don't want some chocolate. You'll be happy you did!

We picked up some truffles, licorice bridge mix, and peanut brittle. Staff was very pleasant and greeted us. You won't be able to walk out without finding a delightful item to purchase.

We waited for them to open on our way out of town. It was well worth the wait. There is something for everyone in there. If you make your own, they have supplies for you. If you are like me and just love chocolate, there is any and all kinds, white, milk, dark...and flavors....don't get me started...just to breathe the... More

Every time we drove by, we had to stop. The salt water caramel is to die for and the taffy isn't far behind. We thoroughly enjoyed the treats that we got while there. We intend to order online now that we are back home.

When we are in town, this is a normal stop for us. The white chocolate popcorn is to die for. The place is a tad pricey, but not so much that I will stop going. Staff could try smiling once in a while as well.

When you enter all you smell is chocolate. Most of the items are made there. This is the place where they got the box of chocolates for Forrest Gump. We got the turtles, scotties, sand dollars and some bridge mix. All are great. Still can smell the store. Its located on the main road just before you get to the... More
