As a child, our parents never used this beach because it was known as the "rough" beach - eaves and undertow and teenagers partying!! As an adult, I have enjoyed all those aspects and still love to walk along the sea wall and enjoy all of it.

We return every year, usually in June and August. The beach is clean, the view is beautiful. Narragansett, Point Judith and Galilee are all cute towns with delicious dining options. We could spend all day at the beach itself, and we usually do! Our family is in love with this town!

This is another foolish idea that Rhode Island had: build a sewage treatment plant along side of the "jewel of RI" , Scarborough Beach so that swimmers can be in water that came from the toilets. As a bonus when the wind comes from the south, which is very frequent, beach goers get the stink as well. When the state... More

Decided on taking a daytrip on the southern coast of RI to Point Judith but my intent was checking out Scarborough Beach. What a beautiful beach nice sand, plenty of parking and shaded gazebos to sit. There is a ramp for wheelchairs. In season it's $20 on weekends and a little less weekdays. Season passes are available in state and out... More

Place has turned into a dump from its glory days, trash left strewn everywhere, graffiti on the boardwalks. In the 90s this place was fine but its decline has been swift.

Every Rhode Island visit must include a walk on Scarborough beach. Big waves, especially at high tide. Walk on edge of waves or sit on bench and listen and watch the ocean. Very busy in summer. My favorite time is in the fall, or even winter.

We discovered that it costs $20 to park here and drove away as we were from out of state. The people at our b&b told us to go back after 6 when the life guards leave and it's free. It was a very pretty beach but nothing spectacular.

Very smooth and calm beach with many facilities and parking. We went in off season but I would imagine it gets tight in the summer and it costs and fee in peak times.

More natural beach, nice to hang out. There is a grassy area to park and stay around or have picnics. The beach is big enough to walk. Nice dark sand.
