worth the trip

Nice clean beach, no balls allowed on beach which was a bummer for my 8 year old to not be able to toss the football.

Great beach. We love it. Very clean and great for swimming. Bathroom facilities are available and they have ample parking.

Nice Beach clean with plenty going on, but like most beaches there if your out of state your going to pay about 4x more. We had a group of 14 so three cars out of the three days we spent there cost us about $180.00 in parking.

Scarborough Beach in Narragansett, RI is well worth the trip. There is lots of parking, but arrive early on the weekends because the lot fills up quickly. Parking is cheaper for RI residents, but still reasonable for out of state visitors too. There are bath houses that offer plenty of changing spaces as well as showers for a small fee.... More

Nothing to do here. Lots of seaweed. We walked further down to the more private area which was nicer, and there was a walk way they lead to cliffs where people seem to hang out. But the beach cost $28.00 to park seen we were not residents and there was nothing to do. No boardwalk. .nothing. not even any stores... More

This beach has much bigger waves than Roger Wheeler beach down the road. There are also lifeguards on duty during the peak hours of the day. It does get crowded fast, so we got there around 10 to get a good spot. I did smell cigarette smoke, so I'm not sure if there is a ban or not. Make sure... More

During our stay in Narragansett we stopped at Scarborough Beach on our 1st day. The beach was very clean and was wide. We went on a Sunday and it was packed but there was still enough space for you to have room. The lifeguards were very attentive and felt safe swimming in the water. Ended up relaxing here another 3... More

Lots of parking and the facilities were great. The waves were big and the water not to cold! I like the soft sand and lost of ramp access to he beach, which made it easy to exit the beach it self. They also had nice wooden cabanas off the beach to sit in with seats.

Great place to hit the beach! Parking is average but there is no fee to enter the beach / can't beat that! While the sand is dark grey - there are some beautifully colored rocks like I've never seen at a beach. Go early as it does get crowded- no one appreciates it when you sit in front of strangers!
