This beach is a great place to go if you like playing in the waves. The teenagers like it here, so don't come if you are looking for peace and quiet.

I love to walk this beach, especially the ruins of an old carriage house. I keep trying to find more info on it, but it seems there is not much. The building burnt down in the 60's or 70's, no one is really sure. The waves are great if you like to boogie board but can be too much for... More

We enjoy visiting Scarborough Beach every summer. The kids love the big waves and walks to the rocks. The bathrooms are clean and the people are friendly.

Expensive to park but excellent facilities and snack shack. Lifeguards every 50-100 feet. Beach very clean and not a lot of seagulls which was a bonus. Lifeguards very active so you felt safe. Tip - When entering the parking lot get a trashbag from the parking attendant as there are no trash barrels on the beach which helps keep seagulls... More

Not many people out this weekend due to the weather but we did have two good days. Our motel is just across the street so we enjoyed walking the boardwalk.

We stopped here on a non-seasonal day in may. It was very breezy, so we only stayed about an hour, but it was a nice visit. The beach wasn't rocky and the waves were moderate. For a day in May it wasn't busy, there were a couple of lifeguards on duty and the beach was clean. The only thing that... More

The sewage treatment plant is right on the south side if the beach. The storm drains cuts a path right through the beach, north and south and make a pool of run off water with who knows what in it that small children sometimes unknowingly play in. If you check RI Health Dept website, they have a lot of closures... More

A very nice beach with decent waves on most days and not too many rocks in the water. There are public restrooms with showers (YOU NEED QUATERS) and a snack stand for food and drinks. Parking is expensive for the day.

Fun for families with spacious grass picnic and beach areas these beaches can accommodate hundreds of daytrippers on weekends. Set on the Atlantic Ocean the views are fantastic and the water offers all kinds of fun in the sun.A snack schack has all the goodies you need to keep the family happy or bring your own food for a picnic.... Easy to get to and a reasonable charge, Scarborough beach in Narragansett is by far the best beach in Rhode Island and beats any beach in CT or MA. It is a fairly deep beach, has a boardwalk and concession stands with bathrooms. Everything is close. There is a picnic area. The water is great and usually gets 4-5 foot... More
