A real live new england fishing village. Go to a restaurant here and the catch of the day came from right across the street! Watched the block island ferry come steaming in as a bonus!

Beautiful little town with nice restaurants and the Block Island Ferry! I know it's a fishing village but it also needs more shopping and a little convenience store would be great.

A one-street village with lots of seafood restaurants, marinas, beaches that can be very crowded and the ferry to Block Island.

We spent 85 bucks a person to catch 1 striper... We had 4 people in our group. Many people didn't even catch that. The crew was eh, and they always smoked, even inside the cabin that said "no smoking" on the walls. The boat was far too crowded, they tried to squeeze in a couple extra people, but in the... More

Nestled amid some of New England's best beaches, this venue for the Block Island ferry is also an interesting working fishing port. One can buy lobsters off the boat or in one of several fish markets that back up to the docks. If they don't have what you need, they go out the back door to the dock to get... More

Galillee is a seaside location from where the Block Island boats leave from. There are also many fishing and lobster boats located there. You can buy fresh fish and lobsters. Or you can visit one of the restaurants in the area. There is a nice beach located there. We walk the beach which is clean and safe. A great place... More

this area has soooo much potential to bring in lots of tourist. the beach are convenient , many places to eat and drink, some with great views. they have a small handful of gift shops, but they are mixed in with commercial fishing warehouse sort of buildings...which really takes away from the charm of a small town. if you want... You can catch the Block Island Ferry from here or there is a Beach up the road. A few small shops and plenty of restaurants to pick from. We ate at Champlin's which provided great views and a huge seafood platter. Parking rates were 10.00 for the day but if you drive through the main strip and park on the... More

Galilee is a fishing town so there are fishing boats everywhere you look. There is nothing that can compare with the smell of the boats as they come in with their daily catch. You might get lucky and buy lobster fresh off the boat !!
