The view is great and it's a small little are around the lighthouse where people sit and relax. There are a few benches, some grass and a very beat up parking lot.

I have been to the Point Judith Lighthouse several times but never was able to go right up to it. The gate this time was open so we went right up to it and beyond. The view beyond was awesome, not to mention all the rock sculptures. We spent a long time there just soaking up the view.

I went to Point Judith Lighthouse with a friend just about sunset on July 5. It was one of the highlights of my trip to Rhode Island and the first time I went to the Point Judith Lighthouse even though I grew up in Rhode Island. It was well worth the wait. Point Judith Lighthouse was originally built in 1810... More

Nice place to walk around and enjoy the view! Very old lighthouse and buildings. Check out the plaques that tell the story of shipwrecks in the area.

It is a beautiful place. We visit the light house every year. They do need to fix the pot holds in the parking area.

This is one of the nicest lighthouse locations you will find. Right next door is a public park with ample parking. On the bright sunny day we visited there were surfers riding the waves right in front of the lighthouse. Totally entrancing.

The lights at Point Judith were awesome! The Coast Guard does a great job of keeping up the lighthouses. We loved reading the signs/historical markers. The stones stacked on the beach were fascinating, but we don't know what their significance is. We enjoyed being able to go onto the grounds to take pictures.

The parking lot is in serious need of paving, but, the views from this little park are amazing. There is an active duty Coast Guard contigient there maintaining the light and the park is a short trip from Point Judith and Galilee

Although the gate was closed to the USCG base at Point Judith - we were lucky enough to be allowed access (maybe because we were military). Point Judith adds to Rhode Island's rich lighthouse history. Was nice to look toward the location in the Narragansett bay where a U boat sank. If you like lighthouses - it is worth the... More

On a recent visit to Rhode Island to spend time with family, we drove out to see the lighthouse and buy some fresh caught lobsters in Galilee. A busy weekend day with lots of people in the area, there was still lots of room in the parking (be careful of the potholes,) area. Great picture area and the rocky beach... More
