Our family has been going to Atlantic Beach Park for over 20 years. We stay at Burlingame State Park Campground. We take the 10 minute ride to Misquamicut every day and head to the beach. The beach was very crowded and very expensive to park at. We were able to get a space to sit, but I was alittle nervous with everyone almost on top of each other. I felt like an intruder because of the area people who were there also.

We like the throw back to good old days. I know some people say its run down and not worth the price but I see it as it's untouched by technology, no bright lights, just a place to spend time with family and golf or ride the go carts or water slides. Good old fashioned fun for all! The only... More

typical small beach community. the go karts were fun. mini golf and bungee were good too. very affordable for a large family. the beaches were tame and even the party kids were respectful and friendly. good all around vacation experience.

Best time is later in the day. Sun and water still warm and less people no parking charges. Local secret!

My family and I decided to try Atlantic Beach. Besides getting stuck in traffic forever, when we finally got to the beach I didn't get the impression that it was really a family beach but more of a party beach. There where shops and little restaurants but the parking was $20.00 everywhere and it was packed full of people. So... More
