Very nice beach. End of the season. Quonquin hurricane dump a lot of rain and storm so we were not able to go out and experience the beach. The beach is easy accessible from the road. with beach number one beach number two close by.

We were pretty disappointed with the bad smell at first beach which the locals say is common. We were therefor advised to go to 3rd beach and it was perfect. Small area, some boats to rent, and best of all clean and no smell.

This is one of the nicest beaches I have ever seen. We loved walking on the beach at dusk and in the morning. It is also a great place to watch surfers.

Went to third beach with my wife and 3 year old. The sand at this beach is much softer than that at Easton's and Second Beaches. There are also no real waves at this beach so it seems better for kids. The only down side is the water gets deep much quicker than it does at Easton's or Second. Walk... More

soft white sand, gentle waves, lifeguards, places to change, and nice people. This is a spot people from all over the world come to go to the beach and relax. If you here for a number of days it is best to get a pass. They charge for parking here but not too bad.Try to arrive early as it does get crowded. Near restaurants... More

Take note, some reviews say parking is free. It is not, but $10.00 for the day is reasonable considering there are lifeguards and attendants who monitor the beach for smokers. The water is calm and gradual, so it is great for families. Bring a raft for floating.

We took our sons (many years ago) to Third Beach, and this time, just my gorgeous wife and I rode our bikes there from our hotel in Middletown, after taking the Ocean Drive road which is worth seeing too. We ended up riding 90 miles while on this trip, and when we went past Bailey's, Easton Beach, Second Beach and... More

On the river so no waves. Boat ramp area offers kayak rentals. Parking is somewhat tight but usually not a problem. No facilities beyond porta-johns.
