Ninigret is an amazing ecosystem and worth learning about. If visiting southern RI put it on your list to see.
Normally we don't take the time to walk many trails, but we were glad that we took the time to get out and walk around. Not only was it a beautiful walk it was very interesting history too.

There are several easy hiking trails around the Wildlife refuge. Very nice views with some signs explaining the history of the region. If your close by, it's worth the stop.
