It was pretty here, though they really shouldn't have called it "Daffodil Days". We saw more daffodils earlier on the same day than we saw here. I know spring started late, but still. The grounds were still pretty, anyway, though, and I saw my first sequoia tree there.

Blithewold has a tea every spring and Christmas time. It is held in the dinning room in the mansion and It is not to be missed! The food is delicious and the tea is one of the best. The grounds are something out of the Secret Garden novel and not to be missed. They have great activities throughout the year... More

We were here for a wedding which was beautifully done. The grounds were awesome, what a view. My only complaint was my heels kept sinking in the grass - big complaint, right? The food was very good and the staff were all very kind and helpful.

I went to Blithewold Mansion in November as part of a small shuttle tour around the state. When I went the mansion was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Pros: The mansion is located right on the water and the views are beautiful from the house. The decorations throughout the house for Christmas were so beautifully done. Every room had extensive holiday... More

I have been here for both "Daffodil Days" and for their Christmas series; both have been great. The grounds are beautiful, right on the water. Nice and peaceful to walk around. Decorated really nicely for Christmas with concerts to attend as well. Really low key way to celebrate the holidays, and less expensive than the Newport mansions!

Blitewold in spring is a delightful place to visit after a long winter.April ushers in "Daffodil Days" when 50 thousand daffodils and other ealy flowers put on their show. Theres other gardens to; but in spring, its all about the daffodils.. Bring your camera! Cost $10.00. Its located right on Narragansett bay so you get a nice water view as... More

I've always enjoyed touring mansions. Just something about the massiveness of them, I suppose. This one was different from many of the others I have been to, especially the grounds. They had several different gardens w/ many different flowers all over the place. The grounds make for some great photo opportunities. Would be a beautiful place if anyone is thinking... More

An afternoon spent at Blithewold to enjoy the Christmas decorations, a tour and afternoon tea - it was a pleasant time. The house, decorations and grounds were lovely. The scones, finger sandwiches, mini sweets and tea in fancy china were all much enjoyed! This was one of the Newport elite dwellings we had not been to before. Would like to... More

We attended a wedding here and it was absolutely perfect. The entire operation was orchestrated perfectly. My wife and I were very impressed by the military precision of the ceremony, which was performed at exactly the right moment with the setting sun in the background. It was every bride's dream. After the ceremony, the affair moved to the beautiful grounds, where... More

I had the pleasure of attending a wedding here over the weekend. The view is fantastic and the grounds immaculate. I also liked that during cocktail hour my fiance and I were able to tour the mansion itself and read some of the history on it. If you are planning an event here I would say the staff is top... More
