The animals come right up to you, beautiful property, you can visit the barn where they make the alpaca products. Lots of great information.

While we didn't actually visit the farm, it was right next door to where we stayed so we couldn't miss seeing all the animals! Or, hearing the rooster crow at 4:38 in the morning

I love the Manisses animal farm. The owners are really nice people who do a very good job of keeping up with the daily details of managing a working farm. Really a must see

The farm at Hotel Manisses is one of the things that makes Block Island truly special. It's fun to feed corn to an emu, or to watch Tank the Tortoise chomp on grass. THe ring-tailed lemurs (think Sascha Baron Cohen in Madagascar) are utterly adorable. The owner of the farm and hotel, Justin Abrams, also has a fabric mill that... More

Owner happened to be there so we got lots of info on the animals. We loved feeding the animals. Flies were annoying, but what can you do?

Spend your $1.00 to feed gain to the animals. An interesting assortment of unexpected animals on the East Coast. Camels, and Emu and Lemurs OH MY!

the farm is not something you would expect to find in the middle of the island especially because the inhabitants are exotic animals. The hair from these animals is used at the woollen mill along from other fibers that are imported. You do have to walk through the alpacas but no worries there. They are so soft to the touch.... What a find on the island!!!!!! It is open all the time and totally FREE!!!!! We spent all 6 days on the island stopping in and looking at the different animals. You can walk with the llamas, feed the animals and sit and relax ... all in a beautiful setting. We met the owner and he told us about some... More
