I think this is the best beach on the island but be aware there are no facilities here or life guards. There is parking but on a nice day it can be packed.

This beach was unusual for us because of the beautiful small rocks that had been smoothed by the ocean. I found different colors of granite and quartz. It was hard to resist collecting one of each color. The beach is very beautiful here too.

We accidentally found this beach and we were thrilled we did. Great sand and the clearest water on the island. Great place to relax and enjoy all there is to love on Block Island

It's a hike to get here, and if you sleep in there is no parking, but despite that it is my favorite beach. It's great walking north on the beach at low tide in the tide pools. There's always lots of aquatic life. The waves are bigger here than state beach. Beware, there are no bathrooms.

This place is known for its waves. Really good for older kids boogie boarding. I'd be careful with younger children because the ocean gets pretty rough. Just wish Mansion had a bathroom and concession.

Nice white sand beach located at the site of the former Searle's mansion. Quiet.., less people than beaches near the village.

All the Block Island beaches offer something wonderful but here the beach is sandy and perfect for lying in the sun and listening to the waves.

We have been to Mansion beach for beach parties and it sure is a nice beach but the best beach on the island for body surfing and everything else is Rouse's beach just north of Scotch Beach. It is not as crowded as Mansion and the parking is better. Short path to the water and you're in beach heaven.
