Southeast Light, on the island of Block Island, Rhode Island, offers a story of history and geology that, in 2014, has had a happy ending. This beautiful brick masterpiece was threatened by erosion in the early 1990s. Its location on the cliffs at the Mohegan Bluffs would soon, it seemed, would soon cause the beloved landmark to plunge into the... More

Gorgeous views, beautiful old lighthouse, small gift shop, and tours of the tower offered. Combine with the Bluffs for an easy two stop tour from Old Harbor!

We went to the Southeast Lighthouse with our family toward the end of our vacation. It was an overcast day so the beach was out. We took the tour of the tower and had a great time with the friendly and knowledgeable staff, even the kids were engaged while the keeper told us the history and local tidbits only a... More

this is a protected seashore area. The dunes, wild birds, and the beach combing was delightful. You are required to park a good mile away from the point and walk on the sandy beach. Loved it !

This is a very interesting stop. The lighthouse was moved away from the bluffs to keep it from falling into the sea. It is a nice location to view the ocean. There is a $10 fee to walk to the top of the lighthouse and the quarters are under restoration.

Looking to get history and a beautiful scenery overlooking the water! Great place to visit! The price was a lil pricey just to walk up a few stairs but the experience was good!

This entire light house was moved about 200 feet back from the bluffs to prevent it from eventually falling into the sea. Nice little museum and tours to the top are available for about $10.

Amazing view from here. Wide view of the ocean as far as the eye can see. Very good picture opportunities.

This is a beautiful, large lighthouse. It really is a lighthouse with a brick home attached. In the 90s, money was raised to save this one by moving it away from the edge, which was quickly eroding. This move makes this one really special
