I recall hearing this pond is a fresh water pond but I do recall many times as a kid during storms seeing the ocean flow over the road into the pond. The seagull rookery can be load at times especially during breading and feeding. We liked how peaceful it was hearing the ocean crashing behind us while watching the calm...
