The Weightlifting Hall of Fame is in here, along with a retail store. Takes about 60 minutes maximum, if you read everything. There are some cool facts and artifacts to look at, especially if you are interested in fitness.

We went to pick up a few things. It's a laid back walk thru with a few cool pictures and info . The artwork design is very cool In the lobby, just look up.

Informative and worth visting. Takes about an hour to go thru. I was disappointed that no champions or trophies are listed past 2000. Someone there should update it.

First off, thank you for your review and glad your enjoyed your visit. Secondly, to your point on the updating of the museum. We know that this is an aspect that needs to be addressed and I can assure you that this will be taken care of in due time. We are currently in the stage of raising funds to... More

Visited the museum at the York Barbell factory. Found it to be an interesting and an enjoyable 30 - 45 minutes of my time. The walk through is free and at your leisure. Would recommend it to fitness buffs or weightlifters (old and new).

Loved the exhibits there. It's great for the family, but I suggest that you take older children. Boys may like it more than girls, but my female students also enjoyed the tour and museum.

On a recent road trip with my 13 year old son, we found this place on roadsideamerica.com (a great site for finding unusual attractions in some places). It was basically on our route, so we popped in. Weightlifting isn't everyone's bag, but if you don't take the museum too seriously, it can be a lot of fun. It's kind of... More

We visited here because of my husband, who is a weightlifter himself and wanted to see the museum. The museum is a self-guided tour, very well laid-out, and very informative. As my husband said, they pay homage to the old-school lifters. If you're not into weightlifting you may not like it as much, but it is interesting to see some... More

My husband, step son and I took a walk thru the gym, it was close to closing, and the employees didnt even anounce they were closing and we got locked in the gym, but ended up finding a door in the audoturium and was able to leave.

Tremendous history of U.S. weight lifting to be explored. The store offers some deals on attire.
